Hard up for cash? Two of the stars of TLC’s Welcome to Plathville are on the social media platform Cameo. The site allows the average joe to request a video message from the celebrity of their choice for a lump fee. Additionally, Cameo users can chat with a celebrity for a set price per minute.
The prices vary depending on if the celebrity is A-List, D-List or Not-Even-On-The-List.
Disgraced Comic Most Expensive Cameo
The price of a single Cameo video can vary greatly. Moreover, some still relevant celebrities can cost around $300-$3,000, while less relevant, but still famous stars, charge around $100. But back at the start of 2020, one comic charged a whopping $50,000 for a Cameo.
By “disgraced comic,” you probably thought Louis C.K. No, not that one. The Cameo belonged to sitcom veteran and Netflix star Chris D’Elia. At the end of the summer, several women came forward with allegations of inappropriate behavior from the comedian. Consequently, Netflix promptly withdrew from a prank show they were working on with the comic.
D’Elia’s Whitney sitcom co-star, Whitney Cummings, was shocked by the allegations, but she didn’t defend him. In fact, she supported his accusers. Surprisingly, his Cameo is still active and still charges 50K.

TLC’s Welcome to Plathville introduced viewers to couple Barry and Kim Plath, along with their nine children. Ethan Plath and his wife, Olivia Plath, are fan-favorites of the reality show. Despite Ethan Plath growing up without access to much technology, the couple is now on Cameo.
A user on Reddit posted a screenshot of Ethan and Olivia Plath’s Cameo listing. The TLC couple charges $50 for a video shout-out. Fans can also chat with the couple for 0.99 cents a minute.

The Welcome to Plathville stars are hardly the only TLC stars to join Cameo. Many of the 90 Day Fiance stars are on Cameo and OnlyFans. Given their religious upbringing, it’s doubtful Ethan and Olivia Plath would ever join OnlyFans.
