Fans Accuse Kelly Dodd Of Giving Mom COVID-19

Is The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Kelly Dodd responsible for her mom catching COVID0-19? That’s what fans want to know. After Kelly’s brother leaked the news about their mother’s diagnosis, fans had many questions for Kelly. They flocked to the comments on one of her recent Instagram posts unrelated to her mother’s illness.

Several fans left comments reminding Kelly Dodd about her previous controversial, dismissive comments about the coronavirus pandemic. Surprisingly, the Bravo star seems to still hold those same opinions, despite her mother’s diagnosis.

Fans Troll Kelly Dodd’s Anti-Mask Stance Amid Mother’s COVID-19 Battle

When the news came that Kelly Dodd’s mom is in the ICU with coronavirus, many fans thought it was karma for Kelly’s insensitive comments at the height of the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, on the new season of RHOC, she even pokes fun at the impending global pandemic. Though to be fair, those scenes were filmed BEFORE the U.S. locked down amid surging cases.

However, there are some fans who refuse to forget and forgive Kelly Dodd’s behavior, even as her mom lies in an ICU hospital bed. Kelly Dodd actually denied that her mother was in the ICU at first. But after a fan asked if it was “fake news,” the Positive Beverage founder confirmed that it was true.

That fan’s question was one of the nicer ones left on Kelly’s Instagram posts. Several fans called Kelly Dodd out for refusing to wear masks and going about life as usual during the pandemic.

Fans seemed to imply that Kelly Dodd may be responsible for getting her mom sick. As you may recall, days after her wedding to Fox News correspondent Rick Leventhal, Kelly Dodd came down with a sickness. She posted about taking medication and feeling sick on her Instagram Stories.

Of course, fans immediately thought she got COVID-19 during her wedding and reception party. She quickly shut that down by revealing she had tested negative for COVID-19. Her illness was never explained, but fans are definitely wondering if she subsequently tested positive and kept it quiet.

RHOC Star Insists She Didn’t Get Her Mom Sick

The RHOC star clapped back at one fan implying that she was the one who gave her mom the coronavirus. Kelly wrote that she has never been sick with the coronavirus, nor did she get anyone else sick. But another fan asked if this experience of her mom being ICU is a wake-up call. The follower wanted to know if the Bravolebrity will take COVID “seriously now.”

Kelly Dodd quickly clapped back that she does take it seriously. She wrote that her mom is 71-years-old and diabetic. However, Kelly denies that her mom is in the ICU due to COVID. Rather Kelly says that her mom’s “blood sugar levels” are the real issue.

Despite it all, Kelly Dodd is STILL Against Masks

The RHOC star faced major backlash last month for sharing a YouTube video about the ineffectiveness of masks. Surprisingly, she still holds that same belief, despite her mother having COVID.

One of Kelly’s supporters replied to her Instagram post with a long diatribe about how masks don’t work. The RHOC agreed and replied with the oft-repeated comparison, ““If your pants can’t contain a fart, you think a strip of fabric can contain a virus?,” per Reality Blurb.

Despite Kelly Dodd’s clapbacks, it seems fans may have hit a nerve. In her latest Instagram post, she talks about forgiveness and grudges in the caption. She writes, “people are so hateful and hang on to grudges 😭 sad!” alongside a photo of her now-husband, Rick Leventhal.
