Chrissy Teigen Slams Instagram’s New Layout
Chrissy Teigen joined people like beauty guru James Charles in slamming Instagram’s new layout. Actually, plenty of people totally hate the changes. And, one of Chrissy Teigen’s fans urged Kris Jenner to speak to the platform about it.
Chrissy Teigen sounds fed up with the new layout on Instagram
Taking to her Instagram on November 22, Chrissy slammed the social media platform. She shared a photo of herself with her daughter and complained it took ages to figure out the new functions. In her caption, she wrote, “Throwback to night before election. I don’t usually do throwbacks but that’s how long it took me to figure out how to post it on this new god forsaken Instagram layout.”
Kris Jenner came along and laughed, writing, “Hahahahahahah.” And several fans pleaded for Kris to speak to Instagram about it. Other unhappy people include Elsa Hosk who said, “u guys are the cutest, layout is the worst!!!” Then, Milly Almodovar noted, “Aww you two are the cutest❤️!! And I agree, I don’t love this new layout.” Another complaint on Chrissy Teigen’s post came from John Cohen of Angry Birds fame. He wrote, “😢 They need to bring back the old layout.”
New Instagram layout
Instagram started rolling out their new layout in mid-November. Those people who never updated yet now feel very happy they still see the old one. So, some people didn’t even know a problem existed. Well, everyone knows that sooner or later, everyone ends up forced to update. Mimicking TikTok, the new layout presents Reels. Insider.com noted that the changes “move the notifications tab and the “new post” creation function to the upper-right corner, where direct messages are located. Now, anchored at the bottom of the screen are the shortcuts to Instagram Reels and Instagram Shopping.”
Fans agree with Chrissy Teigen that they find it very difficult to figure out. One said, “I still can’t figure…out how to upload and post.” And another person agreed, noting, “omg me either, I can’t seem to just take a photo and post from the photo. I’ve to take the photo and go into my camera roll to post and it’s only giving me half a screen to use for the picture.”
Other unhappy celebs slam Instagram as well
Insider noted that beauty guru James Charles tweeted about the layout. He wrote, “They moved everything around and it makes it very, very clear where their priorities lie, and that is making money and only making money.” Later, he added, “Nobody f—ing asked for Reels, we have TikTok for a reason.”
