Justin Duggar Announces Engagement
Justin Duggar is now engaged to Claire Spivey! Justin and his girlfriend Claire announced their engagement on Monday, November 16. This news was predicted by many fans, as reported by TV Shows Ace.
The couple talks about their exciting news, saying, “There is nothing comparable to finding the one you are meant to spend your life with. We know we have found that in each other. We cannot wait to be married and are looking forward to a life together of faith in Christ, love for one another and happiness!”
Justin proposed to Claire when he celebrated his birthday in Texas. Claire’s family lives in Texas, so he spent some time there for his 18th birthday. His birthday is November 15. So, he turned 18 just one day before announcing his engagement.
On Justin’s birthday, Claire’s mom, Hilary, shared a series of photos of her future son-in-law with the rest of her family. She writes, “Happy 18th Bud! We love you and are super grateful for you. Thankful your folks so generously share you with our fam! ❤️🥰😍” From the photos, Duggar fans believe that Justin is very close with the rest of the Spivey family.
Justin and Claire have been courting for two months, and they met in 2019. Their families have been friends for 20 years though. Even though Justin and Claire only met recently, their families are familiar with each other.
Justin Duggar recently turned 18
When Justin and Claire first started courting, he was 17 and she was 19. So, it looks like they were waiting for him to become a legal adult to get engaged. Justin didn’t waste any time proposing to his girlfriend, as he asked her when he was celebrating his birthday with her.
Since Justin and Claire announced their courtship, fans have been speculating that an engagement announcement was right around the corner. Others thought that the two might get engaged around Christmas and make an announcement at that time.
On Justin’s birthday, his parents shared a social media post, wishing him a happy birthday. Though this post came before his engagement was announced, Duggar fans in the comments section are making guesses about when the engagement will be announced. As it turns out, the news came much sooner than fans expected.
At this time, Justin, Claire, and the rest of the Duggar family have yet to announce the engagement themselves. But, they will likely share congratulatory words soon.
