‘Bachelorette’ Tayshia Adams Admits Researching Clare’s Men
Fans of The Bachelorette saw Clare Crawley fall in love with Dale Moss super fast. When she knew he was the one she wanted, Tayshia Adams was contacted to step in and replace her. There was tons of speculation that Clare spoke with Dale before filming began. However, she denied it and said she only researched the men’s social media. So, did Tayshia know anything about the men she would be meeting?
Tayshia admits to researching the guys
Entertainment Tonight spoke with Tayshia about having the opportunity to research the men before coming on the show. And, she admits she did. However, it was months ago. The new lead says she looked the men up when they were announced for Clare’s season. But, after she initially looked she says she was done and didn’t research them anymore.
Recall, Tayshia was originally in the running for The Bachelorette before producers decided to cast Clare. So, perhaps she was curious what she would have possibly been seeing should she have gotten the role.
She said, “I looked at them when they were first released for Clare, so that was months ago. Because of quarantine, everything got moved back. But I did not look them up after that, and I was really happy I didn’t because I didn’t really know what I was walking into. I had forgotten about everybody at that point.”
Tayshia had roughly a month to research the updated list of men after the second reveal. The announcement came in July. And, she stepped into the role in August after Clare decided to not continue.
Clare admitted to researching the men on her season. She wanted to see what they were all about. Typically this is not something a lead has the opportunity to do. However, the pandemic changed up everything. So, Clare admits she felt a connection to Dale even before they met. She said, “I would say it was built up before we even got here.”

She’s happy
Tayshia won’t give up much about her season. However, she has said she fell for more than one man. She said, “I’m happy and part of the reason is, I can finally say that I’m the Bachelorette. It’s been a secret I’ve been holding onto for a long, long time.”
She won’t say whether or not she is engaged or still in love. However, she does say fans will see her journey take on her on ups and down. Everyone will live it with her. At the end of the day whatever happens, Tayshia knows she was ready for the journey. She said, “The one opportunity I had to think about [going in] was, my heart was ready. With those intentions, I sort of went with it and it worked.”
