‘Sweet Home Sextuplets’ Fans Slam Eric Waldrop For Shopping With No Mask
The COVID-19 pandemic has been especially difficult on larger families such as Courtney and Eric Waldrop of TLC’s Sweet Home Sextuplets. Those who follow the Waldrops know Season 3 is currently airing on Tuesday nights. So, TLC has been pushing the series pretty heavily on their Instagram page. A recent video clip TLC updated to their Instagram platform, however, has fans buzzing. And, they aren’t very happy with Eric Waldrop. Why? Well, keep reading to find out!

The pandemic has been especially terrifying for the Waldrops. As we previously reported, the pandemic scares them for financial reasons. After all, they have a very large family and a lot of children. Between hurting their business and having a difficult time competing with panicked buyers… Things haven’t been easy for this TLC family.
One video clip features Eric Waldrop going to the store to do some grocery shopping. He admits that he only recalls having a cold a few dozen times during his entire life. And, a cold wasn’t really something that scared him. But, this pandemic scared him. What if something happened to him? How would his family be alright without him? Sweet Home Sextuplets fans could hear the fear in his quivering voice.
Suddenly, there were in a position where purchasing items as simple as diapers and baby wipes was a challenge. Between panicked buyers clearing the shelves and stores limiting the number of items you could get… Eric Waldrop was having a hard time finding what his family needed.
Fans suspect this daddy is playing up his fears for views.
In the comments of the video posted on TLC’s Instagram, fans of the show were not as supportive as one would expect. They were not buying what Eric Waldrop was selling. Was he pretending to be afraid because it was scripted into the show? Truthfully, fans didn’t understand how someone so afraid would grocery shop without wearing a face mask. And, they were extremely vocal about it.
Now, Eric Waldrop did have other fans that came to his defense in the comments. They were quick to remind everyone this episode was filmed with the pandemic started. Toward the beginning of the year. At the time, there was a lot of mixed information on face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer. And, in the beginning, not everyone was wearing face masks. They certainly weren’t being mandated.

The critics, however, were not buying the support either. They insisted someone as afraid as Eric Waldrop claimed to be should have been wearing a mask from the beginning.
One individual argued: “So you only wear a mask when it’s a requirement, if your that scared you were wearing one from the beginning.”
