Lindsie Chrisley needs a break from social media. In a recent Instagram post, the Chrisley Knows Best star announced she’s going offline for a short period. However, none of her fans should worry it’s anything close to a permanent departure.
Chrisley returned from a trip to Philadelphia earlier this week. In the post, she said she wants to now spend some “uninterrupted quality time” at home with her family.
Temporary ‘Spiritual Maintenance’
She hinted she’s done this kind of thing before. The reality television veteran she calls it “temporary spiritual maintenance.”
“Y’all get it right? Life can be so exhausting & I feel like Jackson grew in the short amount of time I was away,” Chrisley posted. “I was so emotional all day knowing that it’s time I won’t get back. Maybe I’m a crazy mom, but I just love him so much it hurts.”
Before her trip to Philly, she expressed in another post how much anxiety she was feeling about leaving her child behind. Alongside a picture of the reality star at the airport, she explained it was the first time, in a long time, she’d been away from her family.
It seems some of time together had to do with the coronavirus pandemic. The other reason was because they were simply a close family.

Choose wisely what you give your time, love & energy to, for what you water grows. 🧡🧡🧡 Finally home from Philadelphia & taking the rest of the week offline to spend some uninterrupted, quality time at home with the ones I love most. ♥️ This is something I like to call, “Temporarily closed for spiritual maintenance.” Y’all get it right? Life can be so exhausting & I feel like Jackson grew in the short amount of time I was away. I was so emotional all day knowing that it’s time I won’t get back. Maybe I’m a crazy mom, but I just love him so much it hurts. There’s a couple of things that I want to remind you all of because I have to remind myself of these things often too — — It doesn’t matter what others are doing, what really matters is what I am doing. — Everything I do & am going through doesn’t need to be seen or heard. — I don’t have to post it to prove it. — I need to take a break to be with my own thoughts to rejuvenate. — Special time devoted to my mental health is time well spent. — I am posting less to do more. — I can glow & grow privately.
Lindsie Chrisley Knows R&R Best
In addition to her explanation as to why she’s going offline for a little while, she added a list of things she likes to keep in mind. Among the items she denoted were comments that appeared to be aimed at people critical of her and her social media presence.
“I don’t have to post it to prove it,” and “I am posting less to do more,” stood out. “I can glow and grow privately,” appeared aimed at online trolls as well.
It’s unsurprising that Chrisley is tired of online living this week. During the same post announcing her trip to Philadelphia, she came under fire from her followers.
Several posters noted in her picture she was at an airport and wasn’t wearing a mask. Arguments exploded in the comment section. Several comments aimed at her were far from friendly or helpful.
Fans Supportive Of Going Offline
After Lindsie’s announcement, most of the millions of followers expressed support for the decision.

Every day I look at him and think will this be the last time he wants me to lay down with him at bed.. or sit on my lap… sooo many times the last of something comes so fast you don’t even realize it til it’s pasted,” one fan posted. “It goes by way too fast!! Cherish every moment. Good for you.”
