Bethenny Frankel is on the market again. At the very least, she’s back to being a singleton. Sources recently told US Weekly that the Housewives alum broke up with longtime boyfriend Paul Bernon.
Those same sources said the breakup went down, “a couple of weeks ago.” The separation ended a two-year relationship.
The Skinnygirl founder, 49, began dating Bernon, 42, almost two years ago to the week. They were first spotted doing some public heavy petting in Boston in October 2018.
Their first public hookup happened just two months after Frankel’s previous on-again, off-again boyfriend, Dennis Shields passed away. About six months later, the former reality television star opened up about Bernon.
She said she felt happy in ways she hadn’t ever before. Frankel said she wasn’t feeling highs or lows, “just balance.” She admitted on Live With Kelly and Ryan at the time that her life was never really about balance. However, she found that balance with Bernon.
In September of 2019, the two appeared to be taking a big step. The two were looking for houses together.
While Frankle and the movie producer were looking for houses in Connecticut or Massachusetts, people around them said they hadn’t nailed down a state.
“They live together in the Back Bay area [in Boston] now,” an insider exclusively told Us at the time. “She has been spending a lot more time up there. They are house-hunting in the New England area.”
Bethenny Frankel Moving On?
Once again, the reality TV alum and businesswoman is moving on from a long term relationship. To say Frankel hasn’t been lucky in love lately, might be a bit of an understatement.
However, she’s not one who seems to engage in flings. Once she finds a man, she makes a real go of it.
Frankel was married for a little over a year towards the end of the 1990s. The businesswoman then married Jason Hoppy in 2010 and repeated in 2012. The couple share their 10-year-old daughter.
There has been some question as to whether or not Frankel and Hoppy ever officially divorced. The Skinnygirl founder said their marriage was officially ended in 2016 but cryptically tweeted in 2019 she was still the only member of the reality television show who was still married.
Some thought the tweet meant she’d married Bernon. Frankel later clarified that she meant Hoppy.
‘I’m Still Married’
In September, Bethenny Frankel once again shocked both viewers and Andy Cohen when she talked about her relationship with Hoppy. Cohen asked her if she ever thought about getting married again. She replied she was still married. The comment so stunned the host everyone sat in silence as the show went to commercial.
The sources did not share a reason for the reality TV alum and Bernon’s split. Some wonder if her odd relationship with her long-separated spouse had something to do with it.
