’90 Day Fiance’ Spoiler: Brittany Opens Up With The Real Story Behind Drama With Yazan In Jordan

Brittany Banks of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way

Fans are getting excited as Season two of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way heads back to TLC on Sunday. The trailer released before the mid-season break left plenty of cliffhangers for viewers. This is especially so with Brittany Banks and Yazan Abo Horira and the drama in Amman, Jordan. It is amazing the pair didn’t split near the start. In fact, considering the many cultural differences between them, it is a wonder they even started. However, Brittany and Yazan struggled along over the course of the episodes.

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way and Brittany and Yazan’s story

Things started going wrong from the moment Brittany Banks landed in Jordan. Her first two “mistakes” were to reveal the alcohol she had in her carry-on. The second was when she warmly hugged the TLC crew – a major no-no in the staunch Muslim country.

From there on in, Brittany made little effort to adapt to Muslim customs and the culture of Jordan. However, Brittany has taken to Instagram to allege that TLC left out an important part of the story. This is where her Jordanian boyfriend convinced her she would be able to live her life the way she wanted in the Muslim country.

In the comments section on an Instagram post, Brittany wrote there were many “context clues” in the show that revealed that fact. She wrote that “A woman like me isn’t going to up and move to a country like that unless the person I’m dating can accept me as the person I am and the environment permits.”

Brittany continued by saying Yazan made her feel like it was OK. However, when she arrived there “he switched up” on her. She asks if fans missed the parts on TV where Yazan tells her one thing and tells his parents another. Banks said he then gives her a “random ultimatum” because of the lies he told his parents.

Brittany is tired of being attacked

As noted by Cinema Blend, Brittany goes on to write, “I’m tired of being attacked in this when he knew exactly who I was when he pursued me and still does. Jordan culture does not prohibit this. His particular family does not like it but I do not live to please them.”

There have been rumors in the past the TLC edits the 90 Day Fiance shows for dramatic effect, leaving out crucial information. According to Brittany, this particular information led her to believe she wouldn’t have to change when in Jordan. As Banks mentioned, a lot of what she did while in Amman was not explicitly illegal in the country. What she did were things that Yazan’s strict Muslim family would deem unacceptable.

As Brittany states, Yazan led her to believe he would have no problem with her lifestyle when she arrived there. This completely makes sense that she would want to move to Jordan to be with him. However, fans know that Yazan regularly told his parents that Brittany would convert to Islam. In fact, at one point he told her she had to convert before their upcoming wedding. Maybe he was trying to convince her to accept his family and their customs to hurry things along. However, it looks like that tactic didn’t exactly work.

Of course on Brittany’s side, she hasn’t exactly been forthcoming. She neglected to inform Yazan of the fact she was already married. Without the divorce behind her, there was no way she could marry him in Jordan.

No doubt, things will come clearer when 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way returns to TLC on Sunday, October 11 at 8:00 pm ET.
