Counting On, Derick Dillard, Jill Duggar

Fall is in full swing, and the Duggar-Dillard family is celebrating with their own traditions. On Thursday, Jill took to social media to talk to her followers about what she and her family are up to during this season.

On Instagram, Jill shared a photo of her husband Derick reading a book with their three-year-old son, Samuel. She says that Derick and Samuel were reading like this when she got home. Israel isn’t pictured, likely because he’s now in kindergarten at a public school.

Then, Jill starts talking about what they’re doing this autumn. She writes, “We’ve been loving all things fall, especially pulling out all our fall books. Our longtime favorite fall book (and Derick’s childhood fall favorite) is ‘Picking Apples & Pumpkins.'”

The Duggar daughter also takes this opportunity to ask her followers what they like to do in the fall. So, in the comments section, plenty of fans are sharing their own fall favorites. Some are even saying that they also love the book Derick and Samuel are reading.

Jill also writes, “I love the weather here in Arkansas, frequent s’mores and warm fall drinks & the beautiful fall leaves! Looking forward to our pumpkin patch visit too soon!

Duggar fans wonder about Halloween

In the comments section of Jill’s post, fans are wondering whether she and her family celebrate Halloween. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have previously said that they don’t participate in Halloween traditions. They like the harvest activities that come in the fall, but they don’t celebrate Halloween.

Jill has yet to respond to these comments on her post. She does interact with fans at times though, so perhaps a reply is coming.

In 2019, Jill and Derick, as well as their two sons, dressed up for Halloween. This shouldn’t come as a huge shock to fans, as Jill and Derick seem to be paving their own path and are setting themselves apart from Jill’s family.

This year, Jill has yet to reveal whether she and Derick will be celebrating Halloween again. But, it’s possible that they will keep creating their own traditions for themselves and their two sons.

It’s worth noting that 2019’s Halloween costumes were motivated by free food. So, maybe Jill and Derick aren’t all in on the holiday. With Israel being in public school, he may be interested in the holiday if his friends are.

So, what do you think of the sweet new photo of Derick and Samuel? Share your thoughts below.
