It was nearly a month ago Cassie Randolph first filed for a protective restraining order against ex-boyfriend, Colton Underwood. When the judge initially signed the order against the former Bachelor, October 6 was the targeted court date. Now, today, attorney’s for both Cassie and Colton appeared before a judge in California.
Cassie granted extension on restraining order
US Weekly shared news that Cassie was granted an extension of the order earlier today. Cassie and Colton were not at the hearing themselves. Their lawyers were present to deal with the issues. And, a judge granted an extension of the restraining order against Colton. The order is now in place until November 6. This will be when the next hearing takes place.
However, the attorney’s noted the former couple wants to work through their differences amicably. If they work things out before November 6, the courts will be contacted.
And, yesterday, Cassie went and a police report regarding the tracking device Colton placed on her car. Her attorney said, “It was her intention to first, try and work through this process privately in a manner that gives both her and Colton safety, security and respect. We are confident this is possible.” According to previous reports and allegations, Colton had admitted to placing the device on her vehicle.
The restraining order says Colton must remain at least 100 years away from Cassie. This distance also includes her house, her car and workplace. His instructions included not to have any “contact, either directly or indirectly” with his ex.

Somehow, between work, school/internships, my social fomo, and chores (I have messy cat children) I always seem to fill my schedule. Making to-do lists gives me a false sense of organization… even when they are a mile long. Anyone relate? Lately, I’ve noticed the toll my busyness and stress is taking, so I have been trying to schedule self-care into my routine a little more. I put some of my favorites care items on the next slide! @paulaschoice @bioclarity @tan_luxe @loopsbeauty @dewedit @aimhi_everyday @thedrybar #ad
More about the situation
Entertainment Tonight also reported on the extension. And, they shared sources close to the situation said Cassie remained indecisive through the legal process. They went on to say, “It’s all a little confusing because Colton actually apologized to her before things were even made public.”
Colton had supposedly went back to Colorado to gather himself. It was when Cassie heard he was returning to Los Angeles that she sought protection from the courts.
Everyone knows Colton and Cassie met during his time as The Bachelor. Their relationship ended in May. They were together over a year. Fellow alums, including Nick Viall, have voiced their concerns and stood up for Cassie. Nick said the situation is very serious and he hopes Colton can get the help he needs. He also clarified there is zero chance Cassie would ever do anything like this for attention, as some trolls accused.
Stay tuned for more details as they emerge about Cassie and Colton. Do you think they can settle things out of court? Time will tell.
