How Does Ariana Madix Feel About Jax Taylor Today?
Ariana Madix and Jax Taylor didn’t get along in Vanderpump Rules Season 8. Tensions increased — especially with their mental health struggles. What also didn’t help matters is that Jax’s friendship with Tom Sandoval soured after his wedding. Ariana and Sandoval lashed out at Jax and Brittany Cartwright at the reunion.
It was shocking to see Sandoval and Jax’s friendship end. Their friendship spanned for several decades. They even started out in the modeling industry together. It’s unclear how Sandoval feels about Jax at this moment. But Ariana did share her thoughts about the father-to-be.
In a new interview, she addressed their falling out and where they stand today.
Ariana Madix doesn’t necessarily hate Jax Taylor
The Vanderpump Rules star made an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. During the loaded interview, she shared her thoughts on the three new castmates on the show. She also reacted to the Pump Rules baby boom that’s been sweeping the internet by storm. But first, Ariana dished on Jax. She claimed that she doesn’t hate him. The model wouldn’t fight him if she saw him.
“I wouldn’t say Jax and I are friends. But I’m not going to punch him in the face if I see him,” Ariana jokingly said during the interview.
Jax and Sandoval’s feud was one of the storylines during Season 8. Ariana said it was obvious that some of her castmates felt resentment toward her boyfriend during that season.
“[Tom’s] always been a super generous and very real and true friend to his friends,” she explained. “So it was sad to see people say things like he was jealous of people. I get really defensive and protective when I hear things that are not true.”

Jax and Sandoval mostly fought over Sandoval’s comments about Brittany’s alleged homophobic pastor. The couple fired him from his duties of officiant prior to their 2019 wedding. Ariana claims that she and Sandoval gave Jax the opportunity to share his thoughts. She revealed that Sandoval didn’t want to confront Jax on-camera, but only obliged when producers told him that the issue was already out in the open.
She shares her thoughts on everything else Pump Rules
When it comes to the new castmates, Ariana Madix said that she loves having new faces on the show. However, she feels that the producers have overdone it, even long before Season 8.
“I think the more cast members there are, the less time you can spend on any one person and what they’re going through and who they are,” she explained. “I love all three of the new girls who were on the show this year. But I felt like we only got little snippets of them.”
As for the pregnancy news of her VPR co-stars, Ariana called the baby boom “crazy.” But that doesn’t mean she’s having a baby anytime soon. She’s satisfied with her relationship with Sandoval.

“It doesn’t make me feel any different [about having kids]. My first close friend that had a baby, that was like 10 years ago,” Ariana said. “So we’re talking like 15th, 16th friend at this point. Like, congratulations to them all [but] I’ve had friends with kids for a very long time.”
If Ariana were to become a mom, she would constantly help her kids out. But she wouldn’t turn into a “helicopter parent.”
