Married at First Sight stars Bennett Kirschner and Amelia Fatsi are hitting it off. That might seem like an odd thing to point out about a pair of newlyweds. However, when you consider the premise of the reality television series they star in, it means fans of the pair can breathe a sigh of relief.
In fact, Bennett and Amelia are more than “hitting it off.” They’re in love.
On Wednesday’s episode of Married at First Sight, the two will share their feelings for one another. It should make for feel-good TV. E Online got a first peek at the episode and shared some juicy details.
Bennett and Amelia spent a recent afternoon hiking in the Louisiana woods. At one point in the walk, Bennett pointed out where the pair had stopped and he dropped three little words. “I love you.”
After the hike, the artistic director of a theatre company shared what happened during some private time.
Just a few footsteps away, right down there, I told Amelia for the very first time that I love her,” he said. “And I haven’t gotten much of a response yet but we’re having a good time.”
Later on in the sneak peek, anyone worried Amelia might not return the phrase didn’t worry for long. Amelia eventually replied, “I love you too.”
‘Married at First Sight’ couple making things work
After Amelia shared that she loved Bennett, he expressed both surprise and relief. “You do, really? Wow!” The pair then kissed each other on the lips.
Those who might be new to the show’s plotlines are likely wondering why this is a development at all. The premise of Married at First Sight is to get married first, and then figure out whether the newlyweds can make it work.
The two singletons are wed at the beginning of an eight-week period. They then have that time to decide whether or not they want to stay together. The end of the season features a “decision day.” It’s here where Amelia and Bennet will either renew their vows or go their separate ways.
Married life isn’t always easy
Anyone married for any length of time knows it’s not always the simplest lifestyle. Indeed, even if you dated your spouse before the ceremony (as is the usual order of things) issues pop up. Imagine being married during the getting to know you phase. Then add in cameras recording it all.
Bennett and Amelia are working at it though. If decision day was Wednesday good news would be on the menu.
