Kris Jenner denied allegations on Wednesday that she ever sexually harassed her former bodyguard Marc McWilliams. The 64-year-old reality star’s ex-protection officer, McWilliams alleges in documents obtained by Us Weekly that he was “subject to a pattern of unwanted and unwelcome sexual advances” while working for Jenner and her daughter, Kourtney Kardashian.
McWilliams began working for the family in 2017. He said the harassment started in May of that year.
The documents claim Jenner made comments of an “overt sexual nature” towards the security guard almost from the beginning. The reality star allegedly also committed unwanted physical contact.
McWilliams said he told his bosses at the agency several times. They never did anything about it. It’s not clear if the agency he was hired through, David Shield Security ever talked to Jenner about the issue.
The former security guard alleged the “momager” made “lewd suggestive, sexual, sexist, racist, homophobic and otherwise discriminatory comments at him and his co-workers.”
At some point, the relationship between the two deteriorated. McWilliams was suspended from Jenner’s team in 2018. Eventually, he was fired.
Through her attorney, the reality television star gave a strong denial of the allegations.
“Kris categorically denies ever behaving inappropriately toward Marc McWilliams. The security guard worked outside the house and he never even went into Kris’ house,” Marty Singer said in a statement. “Kris had very little interaction with him. After the guard was repeatedly caught sleeping in his car while on the job, the security company was asked not to assign him to work there in the future.”
Kris Jenner engaged in a he-said, she-said
News of the lawsuit comes weeks after the family announced Keeping Up With The Kardashians is coming to an end. However, some believe the suit was filed specifically because the show is ending. Indeed, some sources close to Jenner believe the guard is trying to get money while it’s still rolling in from the reality series.
There have been some rumors Kris Jenner might continue on in another series. However, she shot down rumors she was joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Next Steps are not clear
While McWilliams claims shocked the reality television landscape, it’s unclear what happens next. The two sides are bickering back and forth about the allegations. It’s also not clear how much the agency that employed the security personnel is involved.
If McWilliams did report the behavior to his bosses it could be very bad news for Kris Jenner. For now, the court of public opinion will have to wait and see. It seems unlikely the story is going to fade into the background any time soon. As of now, the rest of the Jenner and Kardashian clan have not weighed in on the allegations.
