There’s no denying that Kylie Jenner is influential. The KUWTK star currently has over 196 million followers and counting. She inspired countless of her young fans to plump their lips. Additionally, Kylie has inspired young girls to copy her style.
Celebrities have been social media to encourage their followers to vote. And Kylie is no different. She shared some scintillating photos of herself from the seventh day of fall. She wore an itsy-bitsy bikini as she encouraged her followers to register to vote. But does Kylie have that kind of power to get young people to vote this year?
All signs are pointing to yes.
Kylie Jenner shares steamy bikini photos on social media
On Wednesday, September 29, Kylie Jenner posted a photo of herself wearing a floral print bikini. She told her followers that while it’s now autumn, it’s still bikini weather in California. The Kylie Cosmetics founder followed up with even more shots of herself in the bikini. She got their attention to shift the topic to voter registration.
“but are you registered to vote? click the link in my bio [sic],” Kylie captioned the post. “but are you registered to vote? click the link in my bio.. let’s make a plan to vote together 🤍🤍.”
Her bikini photos led to an increase in registered voters
Young people were so inspired by Kylie’s bikini photos that they registered to vote. Vote.org received over 50,0000 new registered voters, according to TMZ. Traffic to the website increased by 1,500% since the link is in Kylie’s bio. In addition, Vote.org received an 80% increase in traffic from its voter registration and verification tool from that very day.
Kylie Jenner sent 48,000 people to the website through the link she shared. She clearly influenced young people to register and vote. Just from the bikini photos she posted, 2,9000 users visited the registration verification tool on the website.
If Kylie keeps it up, the numbers on Vote.org could increase. It could get even more young people registered to vote during the 2020 election. The first presidential debate took place on Tuesday night.
How Kylie inspired Gen Z the last time
Back in March, Kylie Jenner urged Gen Z to take the coronavirus pandemic seriously. She used her platform to help increase the seriousness of the global health pandemic. Even Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams had faith in Kylie would use her clout to help her generation. But unfortunately, she gave up on social distancing and quarantining.
The young starlet has been traveling around the world. As TV Shows Ace reported, she managed to break the travel ban to have fun in Paris, France. Only in March did Kylie do her part to get the word out. She sent daily reminders via Instagram Stories to “take this social distancing serious and self-quarantine.”
It’s any wonder if she’ll continue to inspire young people to vote. What are your thoughts? Do you think Kylie has that kind of influence when it comes to the election? Sound off below in the comments section.
