Kelly Dodd Is Going Ahead With Her 2020 Wedding
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd isn’t letting a global pandemic get in the way of marrying her man! She has been dating Rick Leventhal since summer of 2019. The couple quickly became engaged. It was so fast, Kelly’s fiance hadn’t even met her daughter yet!
Her RHOC star Vicki Ganvalson slammed the engagement as a ploy for airtime. However, the couple is still going strong over a year later. Rick Leventhal even gave up his NYC apartment to move to California for his future bride-to-be.
As fans know, Rick is a correspondent on Fox News. Luckily for Kelly, he didn’t dump her when she accidentally photobombed his live broadcast a few months ago.
What do we know about Kelly Dodd’s upcoming wedding?
Going to the… Honda Center???
On Tuesday, September 22, Kelly shared with her Instagram followers that the couple secured a marriage license! Alongside the sweet snap of the couple kissing, Kelly wrote that she is marrying her “ride or die” this year.
She documented the trip to get the marriage license on her Instagram Stories. In one clip, Rick holds up the marriage license. He isn’t wearing a mask, but Kelly is donning a pink mask that says, “Foot In Mouth.”
This is likely poking fun at fans’ reactions to her unpopular coronavirus comments. They constantly jump in her comments, asking why she isn’t wearing a mask. She also posted a controversial video recently about why masks are ineffective.
While county clerk offices are still closed in California, residents can get marriage licenses in an unconventional place. E News! reports that the Honda Center is open for acquiring marriage licenses. You can even get married there!
However, it doesn’t appear that Kelly and Rick took the opportunity to wed on the spot. Rather, they are sticking with their original plan.
RHOC Star Keeps Wedding Date Despite Pandemic
During the Bravo fan convention in November of 2019, Kelly revealed her wedding date. October 10, 2020. In her Instagram post, she lets fans know that the wedding is still on for “10/10/20.”

Other Bravolebrities have chosen to postpone their weddings due to COVID restrictions. Vanderpump Rules stars Lala Kent and Stassi Schroeder both put their weddings off until next year. They are both having babies instead!
Stassi was planning an October wedding in Italy. Lala’s wedding date was April, then July. Now it will be next year. She’s due in April, so she may wait until after the baby is born to wed her fiance Randall Emmett. Stassi is due in January.
Fellow RHOC star Vicki Gunvalson has postponed her wedding indefinitely.
However, RHOA’s Cynthia Bailey is also keeping her wedding plans. In fact, she has the same wedding date as Kelly Dodd – 10/10/20!.
Bravolebrity Officiating the Wedding
Rick and Kelly met at one of Ramona Singer’s parties. Ramona is a cast member of The Real Housewives of New York. She will be a bridesmaid in Kelly’s upcoming wedding.
But another RHONY star will be officiating. Former star, that is. Dorinda Medley was reportedly fired from the NY franchise after bad behavior during Season 12. Apparently, Dorinda is ordained to officiate weddings. She will be presiding over the RHOC star’s nuptials.
Us Weekly reports that Kelly wants to wed in Napa, California. Her wedding will come days before Season 15 of RHOC premieres.
The Real Housewives of Orange County returns to Bravo on October 14. Kelly’s wedding will likely feature, as she said at Bravocon that she would allow the network to film the wedding.
