The Dancing with the Stars Season 29 contestant shared those details on her Kin web series’s latest episode, Hello Hunnay. She also detailed some wedding themes under consideration.
Jeannie said there’s a chance there will be bubbles as a form of floating decoration. For snacks for her wedding guests, a doughnut wall might be in the works. She also said she’s considering a relatively new trend of wrecking her wedding dress after the ceremony.
“Another trend that I’m considering is to not wear a white wedding dress,” Jeannie Mae told her mother. “To wear a different colored wedding dress.” She said she’s not quite sure what color to pick. She does think it will be “not white.” She also said the dress could come without a veil.
Jeannie and fiance Jeezy hasn’t pinpointed a date, but she continues to lean towards a winter wedding. She said the season is a very romantic time for a wedding. It also holds special meaning to her.
Jeannie Mae’s most wonderful time of the year
“Jay and I met on November 28, and it’s a very special time for us,” she continued. “So I’m thinking winter because everything can be really cozy, you can have hot chocolate, spiked hot chocolate, slippers, fuzzy slippers for the dancing afterward. There’s so many things you can do in a winter wedding.”
She added the cold weather would allow everyone to snuggle up to each other.
The winter wedding’s guest list isn’t completed yet, but Jeannie said she wants between 50 to 100 attendees. The location isn’t locked down either. She said they’ll either wed in Lake Como, Atlanta, or Vietnam.
The latter has some importance to how the two became engaged. Jeezy proposed to Jeannie in March. A planned trip to Vietnam was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of the vacation, Jeannie got an engagement ring.
Jeezy recreated their planned trip at home. While they couldn’t go sightseeing in person, the rapper produced a slideshow of the couple, superimposed in spots they would have seen on vacation.
Romance is not dead
“The fact that Jay did not let the quarantine stop us from still enjoying our trip to Vietnam really touched my heart,” she said in another video after the proposal.
Jeannie has to focus on other things besides the winter wedding for now. She’s still trying to emerge as the champion of Season 29 of Dancing with the Stars.
Earlier this month Jeannie Mae made it clear how difficult winning it all will be. The Electric Slide apparently encompasses her dancing skills.
