Is Netflix gearing up to purchase and save Keeping Up With The Kardashians from ending?

We only just recently learned that Keeping Up With The Kardashians was coming to an end. While some fans agreed it was time for the Kardashian-Jenner family to exit the reality TV lifestyle not everyone felt that way.

Many fans were devastated. And, now? Now, there is a rumor swirling that Netflix might consider purchasing and reviving Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Or, at the very least, the streaming giant might want to purchase the Kardashian-Jenner brand for their own reality TV spin offs. So, if the chatter is true, perhaps we won’t have to say goodbye to KUWTK after all.

Why do people think Netflix is picking up Keeping Up With The Kardashians?

Kim Kardashian West confirmed fans would see the final season of KUWTK next year. Now, this news was really hard for fans to process. Why? Well, largely because we’ve been watching the Kardashian-Jenner family on television for over a decade! Fortunately, however, some experts are having a hard time processing the information as well. In fact, there are a lot of people who don’t think the Kardashian-Jenner family are ready to exit the reality TV world.

Now, even if Netflix doesn’t pick up the Kardashian-Jenner family, there is no chance the end of KUWTK means the family will drop out of the spotlight. After all, several members of the family are some of the most followed people on social media. These are people who took a single reality TV show and managed to turn it into several spin off shows. And, they jump started a few different companies. So, they certainly know how to grow a brand.

But, experts believe someone will pick the family up.

Hollywood Life recently caught up with brand management expert Eric Schiffer. And, he does not believe the Kardashian-Jenner family will ever completely step out of the spotlight. In fact, it sounds like he thinks ending Keeping Up With The Kardashians might just make them more desirable elsewhere.

You could end up seeing Keeping Up With The Kardashians: The Movie. You could end up seeing a documentary that they release about their life over the next year. They will find a way to stay relevant and tell their stories through another production, that they can also control, that would allow people to spend time with them and connect with them emotionally.”

And, he even thinks Netflix might seize an opportunity to pick up the family as well.

Eric Schiffer points out that reality TV is a hot area of entertainment right now. And, Netflix is well aware of the kind of income reality TV can bring in. So, it wouldn’t be too surprising if the streaming giant picked up the Kardashian-Jenner family.

You could end up seeing a Netflix show. They easily could go that direction. Reality TV is hot, especially on Netflix and Kris Jenner, who is very savvy, is aware of their value. She can take the brand to Netflix and I’m sure Netflix would sign. When you’ve got Prince Harry and Meghan Markle making $155 million over five years, why can’t the Kardashians make $200 million over five years.”

For now, we know new episodes of KUWTK will continue to air into 2021. After that, fans will just have to wait and see what happens. But, being picked up by Netflix is certainly a possibility. And, for the right price, the family would probably consider it.

So, would you like if Netflix picked up Keeping Up With The Kardashians? Would you watch a Netflix exclusive featuring the Kardashian-Jenner family? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
