Did Denise Richards Quit ‘RHOBH’ Because Of Her Co-Stars?

Denise Richards announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. This came as no surprise to fans. They witnessed the drama she faced during Season 10. Denise became the punching bag this season due to her drama with Brandi Glanville.

Brandi told her RHOBH co-stars that she allegedly hooked up with Denise. The Wild Things actress has denied the rumors on several occasions. The drama was so bad that it ended Denise’s 20-year friendship with Lisa Rinna. They met at the end of the season to which Rinna asked Denise if she sent “cease and desist” letters to everyone.

At first, Denise didn’t respond. But then she asked, “Who told you?” Rinna sucked in her teeth and said, “Oooh, you’re so angry.” Fast forward to the reunion and some of the ladies kept going after Denise.

So, why did she leave the show? Was it because of the constant drama with her co-stars?

Andy Cohen says he couldn’t “reach an agreement” with Denise Richards

The host of the RHOBH Season 10 reunion sat down for a virtual reunion with People TV’s Reality Check. Of course, he was asked why Denise Richards decided to leave the show. Andy wouldn’t share any details, but he did say that they “couldn’t reach an agreement on the deal.” While he had nice things to say about Denise, he was upset that she quit on the spot.

“I’m just upset we couldn’t reach an agreement for next season. I’m kind of living in that sadness,” he said.

Then Andy was asked if Denise’s exit had to do with Brandi.

“Well, we were negotiating a deal with her and we couldn’t reach an agreement on the deal,” Andy reiterated. “She’s answering her truth. Listen, also, she has a family and kids. Whatever happened or didn’t happen, I would imagine it’s something she didn’t care to discuss on a television show.”

Andy said the problem with reality shows like RHOBH is that “once the cat is out of the bag,” it’s hard to sweep it under the rug. If a secret comes out, then it stays out there. And he did agree that some of the storylines get “done to death.”

She wanted to leave the “toxic” co-stars on RHOBH

However, an insider revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Denise Richards wanted to get away from the “toxic” group of women. Her decision wasn’t a hard one to make. The 49-year-old actress felt she had no other choice but to leave the Bravo series after two seasons. Also, Denise’s exit did not come as a surprise to the cast.

“It’s obvious she was not getting along with the women,” the insider told ET on Thursday, September 10.

Throughout Season 10, Denise clashed with many of her co-stars. She skipped social events and stopped production so she wouldn’t have to film with them. Denise didn’t feel comfortable with the questions they threw at her. It could be why she left the show altogether.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills concludes next Wednesday, September 16 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
