’90 Day Fiance’ : Kalani Shares The Reason Why She’s Not Rushing To Get A Divorce!
Anyone that has watched 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, would agree that Kalani Faagata has been a fan favorite amongst the viewers. Her frequent fights with her Samoan husband, Asuelu Pulaa, has led many people to ask, “why doesn’t Kalani just get a divorce?”
Greed, Greed everywhere on 90 Day Fiance!
In a recent episode of 90 Day Fiance Kalani and Asuelu took their two boys to Washington to visit with Asuelu mother and sisters. All seemed great as the group set down to enjoy a wide variety of food and enjoy each other’s company. This meal quickly went south when Asuelu tells his mother, Lesina that he can not give her $1,000 which she expected and felt entitled, but instead offers her $100. It was quickly apparent that Asuelu’s mother Lesina felt like that was not enough!
Some private time
Kalani decides to talk one on one with Asuelus mother, Lesina, and sister Tammy to explain their money situation. Asuelu only works part-time, and Kalani stays at home with their two small boys. To no one’s surprise, the whole conversation doesn’t go as planned!
“I’m here to tell you guys, I just don’t know why you all feel entitled to me and my family’s money. And that, however you feel, that way. But at the end of the day, it is going to be what I say,” Kalani explains. 90 Day Fiance fans were proud of her for sticking up for her family.
Asuelus mother starts to yell “give me the money, that’s all I want”! Lesina, Asuelus’ mother, and Tammy, Asuelu’s sister, had the nerve to ask that Kalani divorce Asuelus so that they can take him back home to Samoa. The whole thing ended with Kalani crying and quickly walking away, with Tammy lunging toward Kalani.

They only want money on 90 Day Fiance!
Kalani goes back to their hotel room to talk to her husband, Asuelu, to let him know what happened. Asuelu got very upset when Kalani started to bad mouth his sister. This argument quickly ended with Asuelu leaving and staying the night with his family just to show up the next day with flowers and balloons and a fresh perspective on the many issues in their marriage. After going back to their home in Utah after the crazy Washington trip, Kalani told the camera in the Sept 6 episode that Asuelu and her still have unresolved issues.
Talking to mom!
In a sit down with her mom, Kalani did mention a possible divorce but she wants to exhaust all the possible options before taking such a major step! “If we get divorced, I just want to know that I tried everything that I possibly could because then I can tell the boys that I did this or I tried that”. Kalani went on to say that she would try therapy with her husband next “because I can’t keep living like this. It’s insane”.
