Keeping up with the Kardashians is coming to an end and there have been rumors as to why. One of those rumors is that the family was actually fired from the show.

Were the Kardashians fired?

Keeping up with the Kardashians has been on for a long time. When Kim Kardashian announced that the show was ending, fans were left in shock. Of course, everyone is waiting and looking for answers. According to OK! Magazine, they were fired from the show for asking for too much money.

Allegedly, the family was previously making $30 million per season of the show. Now, Kris wanted to bump that up to $40 million. It’s rumored that E! said no and fired the family.

“The last deal Kris Jenner signed was in 2017 giving her and the family $30 million per season. That deal has expired, and greedy Kris wanted at least $40 million per season to continue even though ratings have been declining dramatically,” a source reports.

Kris is still trying

Apparenlty, this might not be the end of the show though Allegedly, Kris is just looking for new networks to pick them up. However, she isn’t lowering her price at all. So, if another network wants to keep them, they are going to have to pay.

“The negotiations were going nowhere. E! was interested in keeping the show on the air, but there was no way the network could continue paying the family the same amount of money for almost half as many viewers. In the end it was better for everyone to say goodbye,” the source says. “Although Kris isn’t giving up just yet, she is busy on the phone shopping the show around to other networks … but not at a discounted price.”

According to Kim’s Instagram post, the final season will wrap up at the beginning of 2021 so fans still have a bit of time to see the family. However, it will be weird not to have the Kardashians on TV every year.

“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way,” Kim writes on Instagram.

With the post, she shared a very early promo for the show of herself and her family all looking very young. If Kris isn’t able to find another network to pick up the show, 2021 may end up being pretty sad.
