Forget Bethenny Frankel! Many The Real Housewives of New York fans are clamoring for Heather Thomson to return. The hollaback girl has a surprise announcement for fans later this week. Social media comments are flooded with the hope that she will be returning to her old stomping grounds.
Expect RHONY Cast Shakeup for Season 13
RHONY star Dorinda Medley shocked fans last month by announcing she was leaving the show after six seasons. The reality star came under fire from fans due to her excessive drinking and mean girl behavior. Her departure announcement pre-dated the tense Season 12 finale where she flew off the handle when former co-star Tinsley Mortimer’s name came up.
Fans are still debating if she left on her own or if she got the boot from Bravo.
Even before Dorinda’s exit, fans and RHONY’s Leah McSweeney were calling for changes in casting. They would like to see more diversity among the traditionally all-white cast. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills added Garcelle Beauvais to Season 10 last year, making her the first Black cast member of RHOBH.
Andy Cohen has spoken out about the lack of diversity on Bravo. He assures fans that changes are coming.
Fans Want Heather ‘Holla’ Thomson Back!
While fans are all for adding diversity, they would also LOVE to see one star in particular return. Besides Bethenny Frankel, who has said several times she won’t return. Heather Thompson is a fan favorite dating back to her Season 5 debut.
The entrepreneur gained fans with her humor and her love of the catchphrase “Holla!”
She left the show after Season 7 but has made appearances. Most recently, she appeared in Season 12 during a cast trip to the Berkshires.
Heather revealed on social media that she will be a guest on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday, September 10. She teased a “big announcement,” leading fans to speculate that she is returning to RHONY. Instagram Bravo fan account @queensofbravo reposted Heather’s social media post.

Many RHONY fans replied that they hope Heather is returning to the show. One fan wrote, “OMG [I] will die if she comes back… hollaaaaaa.” Another fan suggested Heather comes back to “scare Ramona.”
However, not everyone wants Heather to return. Some fans deemed her “unbearable” and “boring.”
What Has Heather Been Doing Since Leaving RHONY?
BravoTV recently caught up with the RHONY alum to see what she’s been up to since she left. She revealed that she is working on several business endeavors. Additionally, she sold her Yummie Tummie fashion brand.
Her new projects are in the wellness industry. Her announcement could be something business-related.
