Why Did Chrishell Stause Decide To Join ‘DWTS’?
Life hasn’t been easy for Chrishell Stause lately. In the past year and a half, she lost both her parents to cancer, and now she’s dealing with her high-profile divorce. Fans of Selling Sunset recall the Season 3 storyline where she and her husband, Justin Hartley of This Is Us, decided to end their marriage and he asked her for a divorce via text message. Those hardships are motivating Chrishell to give everything she has to her Dancing With The Stars performance this year.
“I feel equal parts excited and completely terrified,” she told ET. “It has been a crazy journey and I would have never imagined this is where I would end up.”
Chrishell admits that she has nowhere else to go but up. After all the tragedy and heartbreak she suffered through over the past few years, she’s still able to keep smiling.
“I’m hoping this will be a new chapter, something positive,” she went on to say. “An experience I can kinda throw myself into and just kind of learn a new skill and have fun at the same time. I have no dance experience, so it’s going to at least be a laugh for all of us.”
Chrishell Stause Just Wants To Have A Good Time This Season
Chrishell already began rehearsals with her celebrity partner, but we won’t know his identity until the season premiere. She did mention that they get along quite well though. Chemistry is always important on DWTS.
The Selling Sunset star also made it clear she has no prior dance experience and is just here to have a good time.

“I don’t even do TikTok. Literally, my friends have asked me to go to a workout class that’s like a dance class and I had to leave because I got too overwhelmed,” Chrishell told ET. “So I truly am starting from the bottom. But if I suck, I’ll be the first person to make fun of myself. I truly am excited to just have a really fun experience.”
With such an upbeat attitude, fans are certain Chrishell will do just fine this season, even if she isn’t the most experienced dancer.
An Interesting Season 29 Cast
Good Morning America announced the rest of the Dancing With The Stars Season 29 cast this week. Fans definitely had strong feelings about the choices. Joining Chrishell Stause in the competition this year are Backstreet Boy AJ McLean, actor Jesse Metcalfe, and ice skater Johnny Weir, to name a few.
One name that no one really saw coming was Carole Baskin from Tiger King. Whether you love her or hate her, most fans admit casting Carole Baskin was a really interesting choice.
