’90 Day Fiance’ Star Biniyam Is ‘Done’ With Ariela Following Epic Fight Over Apartment

Ariela and Biniyam have been fan favorites so far on this season of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. However, first Ariela’s mom leaves to go home to America, causing her to say she doesn’t want to be alone with Biniyam. Now the man himself is losing patience with his pregnant girlfriend. Normally so mild-mannered, Biniyam not only told Ariela to “shut up,” but also said he is “done.” What caused this latest upset? Read on.

Early on in this episode, Ariela is clearly reaching the end of her patience and doesn’t know what to do. She tells Biniyam there is a lot of pressure on her to stay in Ethiopia, even if things are not going well. She asks him how he would feel if she left Ethiopia, pointing out that she can.

Ariela tells him she is having a baby there for him. The TLC reality star goes on to ask if they are not getting along, why should she stay there? Ariela points out there she has a few weeks left before giving birth, which means she can travel. She tells the 90 Day Fiance star she is not saying she is going to leave, but if they don’t get along what would he do and what can they do?

Biniyam tells Ariela she can’t leave, asking her to tell him when she was feeling unhappy. She responds, saying he didn’t understand her. Ariela points out that she is entirely dependent on him. She has no friends in Ethiopia and doesn’t have a life there. In fact, to be honest, she says she doesn’t think he understands her very well. Ariela says while she is there now, it was originally because she loves Biniyam. However, life isn’t easy enough in Ethiopia for her to want to stay there for no reason.

Admittedly, Ariela comes from a comfortable home in New Jersey where she had everything she needed. However, it was her decision to move to Ethiopia when she found she was pregnant with Biniyam’s baby. Now she seems to have unrealistic expectations of Biniyam, including wanting a very expensive apartment.

So far, both Ariela and her mom were upset at the living conditions in Ethiopia. She is particularly dismayed over the apartment he has chosen for them. The apartment is nowhere near ready for them to move in. It has no stove, no running water, no electricity – the list goes on. In other words, it is in no way liveable, especially for a family with a baby.

Okay, it is understandable that she doesn’t want to live in that unfinished apartment. However, the one she has chosen is perfect for her but way too expensive for Biniyam. The apartment is spacious and Biniyam admits it is nice. He exclaims over the bedroom, saying how big it is. Ariela is thrilled to find there was hot water in the bathroom and finds out there is good Wi-Fi. However, the rent for the apartment is $1,400 a month.

Biniyam noted that this is very expensive for Ethiopia. He goes on to outline to the camera all the work he does. He works as an entertainer and does video choreography. Biniyam does work in the circus, personal training and dancing at a nightclub. However, with all this, the 90 Day Fiance star only makes $500 a month. This is nowhere near enough to pay for the apartment, let alone food and bills. Biniyam notes in his confessional that “Ariela, she knows that I’m zero zero account.”

While Ariela and Biniyam discuss the apartment, he says he likes it but it is too far away from his work. He says he doesn’t want to leave her alone all the time, but Ariela doesn’t buy it. She points out that she would be alone a lot of the time anyway, so this is no excuse.

Tensions continue between Ariela and Biniyam

On the way home, Ariela and Biniyam start fighting in front of the taxi driver. He tells her the apartment he is renovating will only cost $170 a month. Biniyam stresses that she must understand they can’t afford the expensive apartment she wants.

Ariela erupts, saying the problem with that apartment is that nothing works. She points out there is nothing in the apartment and that they need it fixed yesterday. Ariela stresses, “not in a week and not in a month.” Basically, they need it fixed now, which isn’t happening.

Biniyam repeats that he can get all the work done in a week, but Ariela loses it. She yells, “No! No! We can’t!” She said, “that sh** takes time.” She points out that he knew she was coming to Ethiopia.  He could have had everything fixed already. Ariela says if it was about money, he could have asked her for the money. The 90 Day Fiance star tells Biniyam it’s his “f**king fault.” She says it is not about what she likes, she cannot live in a place with no bathroom and no kitchen.

Biniyam loses it at that point, knowing he can’t win the argument but tells her to “shut up.” He says she knows nothing about construction. Ariela responds that no, she doesn’t know about construction. However, she is logical and knows it doesn’t work like that. “There’s no floor, there’s no stove.” Ariela says if he is “so f**king excited for this baby” but how are they actually going to take care of it?

Who is more stressed out?

As noted by ET, Biniyam tells Ariela she is stressing him out, but she is stressed out herself. She asks him to think how she feels. She traveled to Ethiopia from the U.S. and doesn’t have a place to live. Ariela doesn’t know what they are going to do. She is already nervous about the baby and she is there alone. On top of this, her mother has left, so she is the one who is stressed, not him.

Biniyam tells Ariela that he is “done” and there is nothing he can do. She responds that he hasn’t made any effort, so he can’t be done. When Biniyam continued to ask Ariela to give him one week, she refused, saying, “No! No! No! I’m not f**king staying here! I told you that!”

As noted in the midseason teaser trailer, Ariela is going to find out she is giving birth by C-section. Fans then get a glimpse of her shocking birth scene. Whether her sudden need to give birth prematurely relates to their argument is unknown.
