‘Doubling Down With The Derricos’: Grandma GG Instant Hit With Fans
Doubling Down with the Derricos involves a huge cast of kids and supporters. In a recent episode, Marian Derrico, (GG) the grandmother arrived and helped out. If you need clarification on who’s who, we produced a useful article on it. In this week’s episode, fans saw GG save the day for Deon. And, fans fell in love with her. It looks like GG is an instant hit with TLC fans.
Doubling Down with the Derricos – Karen goes to hospital
All the best-laid plans for Deon and Karen got tossed out the window. The doctor suggested a hospital stay of about two months. Bearing triplets, they hope it prevents the babies from arriving too prematurely. Previously, a set of triplets resulted in the loss of baby Carter. Looking after 11 kids takes a lot of teamwork from Karen and Deon.
While the eldest daughter offered her help, her dad needed more help, Meaww noted. So, the Doubling Down with the Derricos dad expressed his relief when grandma GG stepped in. Deon appreciated his daughter’s help, but she’s still a teen. So, he avoided overloading her. Juggling work with all the different kids’ needs, Deon finally asked GG for some assistance.
Grandma GG welcomed by Darian the eldest daughter
GG and Deon seem very close. And, the kids adore her. In fact, Darian loved the idea of her helping with the younger kids. GG welcomed the opportunity as well. She adores all the kids in the massive Derrico family. Now, it seems GG gets adored by countless TLC fans as well. A bit like Chrisley Knows Best with Nanny Faye, she gets a whole lot of love on social media.
One Doubling Down with the Derricos fan wrote, “I already love GG. Will you adopt me?!?” Then, another one commented, “every one deserves a GG in their life.” Plenty of others said similar things. Many fans think GG’s simply the best! But, it looks like the entire family’s a big hit with fans as well.

Whole show seems huge hit with fans
Hopefully, TLC brings many more seasons to the new show. Many fans just love everything about it. As one fan noted, “Just stumbled upon this show on @TLC.Doubling Down with the Derricos. And it is the sweetest family show. All these adorable kids with a great Mom & Dad. Loving how cute these kids are plus 3 more are on the way.”
Another one commented, “When [Doubling Down with the Derricos] show is over, these parents need to write a parenting book. If every family was this joyful and organized and loving and accomplished, the world would be a MUCH better place. These kiddos’ confessionals/interviews are precious. They are so happy.”
