‘Below Deck Med’: Hannah Ferrier Explains What She Really Had In Her Bag After Malia Gets Her Revenge

Below Deck Med star Hannah Ferrier has had a rough season. She called out the weird editing on Season 5 of Below Deck Mediterranean. Previous episodes showed the chief stew taking a mysterious pill in her cabin at night, which she confirmed was Advil for her swollen feet. There were also scenes of Hannah talking about Valium, which didn’t do her any favors. 

Monday night’s episode really had viewers fed up. Malia was not happy with the sleeping arrangements since her boyfriend Tom Checketts came on board as the new yacht chef. She wanted to bunk with him, but there was one little problem. She was still bunk buddies with Hannah, who didn’t feel comfortable bunking with second stew Christina “Bugsy” Drake. Bugsy felt the same, but Malia never confronted her about it.

In order to get her revenge, the bosun sent Captain Sandy Yawn a photo of drugs she found in Hannah’s bag. Now Hannah is explaining what really happened.

Following Monday night’s episode, Hannah Ferrier took to Twitter to explain what happened. First, she confirmed to a fan that Malia called her out after they argued about the sleeping arrangements. One Below Deck Med viewer called out Malia for getting her revenge. 

“so after hannah had her panic attack, malia took a picture of her meds and held onto said picture just to text to their superior the next time they had a disagreement… #belowdeckmed,” the user wrote.

Hannah corrected the fan and said it happened after they argued over the sleeping arrangements. 

“No…she went into my cabin AFTER we had the fight about cabin arrangements…Then went through my handbag and took a photo of my prescribed medication and legal CBD and sent it to Sandy. #belowdeckmed,” Hannah responded.

In addition, the Below Deck Med star shared the contents of her bag with all of Twitter. She shared two photos, the one that Malia sent to Sandy, and another that she took of her prescribed Valium tablets. 

“I like Malia’s arranging skills,” Hannah joked before adding, “So that’s prescribed Valium, CBD (which is legal in Spain), a lighter (not sure what this has to do with anything) and my passport holder… And for anyone who’s interested the prescription is on the other side of the box as shown… #belowdeckmed”

Like Hindrigo “Kiko” Lorran, Hannah received an overwhelming amount of support after Monday night’s episode aired. The Below Deck Med hashtag trended in the U.S. on Twitter all night long. 

Bosun Malia White claims Hannah was on Valium all season

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, the bosun took to Instagram last week to spoil the current episode. She stated that drugs are taken seriously, whether they’re hard drugs or prescription medications. Since then, Malia has deleted the post. On her appearance on Watch What Happens Live, she told host Andy Cohen that she knew Hannah was taking Valium all this time. The Below Deck Med star claims she had the revelation following her fight with Hannah.

“I think in that moment when she asked for Valium is when it really hit me that those were the pills that she was taking every night all season,” Malia said. “That’s when it became a real serious thing for me.”

Andy asked Malia if she sent the photo because it was her responsibility as bosun or because she was unhappy about the room arrangements. She said that she already had her bunk at that point, so she felt it was her duty to do it. She explained that she didn’t want to lose her license. 

However, Hannah feels that Malia’s moves were intentional. She took part in an Instagram Live where she called Malia’s actions “sneaky” and “underhanded.” Hannah felt “disappointed” in Malia because she felt they were getting along well. She didn’t realize that Malia would go behind her back and do that to her. Especially after Malia helped her with her panic attack.
