Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s marriage is apparently in great shape. While many couples called it quit during quarantine days, they report they are stronger than ever before. Their secret? Trust in their faith.

“I really know that our relationship with God and our close walk with Christ is what holds our marriage together,” Michelle said to Us Weekly. “That’s the glue that started our relationship years ago. And I know because of our faith, that is the solid foundation that we have.”

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Have Had a Long, Happy Life Together

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar married in 1984. Today, they have 19 children and 17 grandchildren together. Two more grandchildren are on the way. We recently reported on how much Michelle loves being the family matriarch. The Duggar family Instagram shared this picture to commemorate their anniversary in July:

“I am more in love with him than I have ever been. He is the man that stands strong and is solid, and then he’s steady. And I’m so grateful that God brought us together 36 years ago. And he’s given us these precious children and we love every one of them,” Michelle continued.

We’re glad Jim Bob and Michelle seem to be doing so well. As you probably know by now, their relationship with their son-in-law, Derick Dillard, is very strained. Derick married their daughter, Jill, in 2014. After the Season 11 premiere of Counting On, Dillard ranted about the show on social media. He even compared the family dynamic to Jeffrey Epstein case.

Derick Dillard Plans to Expose the Truth About the Duggar Family

Earlier this year, Dillard discussed his unpublished tell-all book where he plans to shine some light on the Duggar family’s private life. Right now, we’re not even certain Dillard has started writing. But he seems adamant to publish it someday. Jim Bob hired lawyers in preparation.

“He’s already got four or five big lawyers — I mean big lawyers — who have done a lot of research as far as the contracts from TLC go,” one source reportedly says.

Recently, fans suspect Michelle threw some shade Derick’s way too. Jim Bob and Michelle spoke at a conference. When it was Michelle’s turn to speak, she read out loud from a book about the family church. After she finished reading, she said,

“Memorize the definition of gossip: sharing private information with those who are not a part of the problem or part of the solution. And then slander is telling the truth with a design to hurt.”

Many listeners took this to mean she was speaking directly to Derick Dillard.
