What Is Joy Duggar Up To At 37 Weeks Pregnant?
It’s almost baby time! Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth will soon be a mom to two little ones. She and her husband Austin have one son, Gideon, 2. The couple tragically lost a baby at 20 weeks gestation last summer. But, now they are preparing to welcome their newest addition to the world. The couple is having a baby girl.
Joy is currently 37 weeks pregnant, so she could have her daughter at any time. As of right now, she and Austin are preparing for her arrival and wrapping up the finishing touches. In a new YouTube video, Joy takes fans along as she gets a few last-minute things done.
First, Joy goes furniture shopping with Austin. They’re looking for a recliner for Austin and a glider for the nursery. Getting a glider is one of the last things on Joy’s list.
Then, the Duggar daughter heads to her 37-week appointment. Austin has to work, so Joy goes on her own. The baby is head-down and she hasn’t dropped yet. She’s dilated to 2 centimeters and 80% effaced. Joy has also been having Braxton Hicks contractions, so she’s hoping everything continues to progress smoothly.
Later in the video, Joy, Austin, and Gideon install the car seat in the car. Anna Duggar gifted the car seat to Joy and Austin.
When Joy asks Austin if he thinks Gideon will adjust well, Austin says he will have to and adds, “sink or swim.” Joy says that Gideon has been clingy for the past month. The couple agrees that he might be jealous. But, overall, they think he will do well with the new baby. Joy admits that he doesn’t really understand what’s going on yet.
Duggar sisters help with nursery
Gideon and the new baby will be sharing a nursery. Since Joy’s due date is quickly approaching, two of her sisters helped her get the nursery together.
As TV Shows Ace reports, Jessa Seewald and Jana Duggar brought some decorations over to Joy’s house. Together, the women decorated the nursery. Of course, Jessa and Jana didn’t want Joy to do too much heavy lifting.
After her sisters left, Joy did make a few minor changes so the nursery would better fit her style. But, overall, she loved what her sisters did with the space.
Now, there’s not much left for Joy and Austin to get ready for the baby’s arrival. The parents are eager to welcome their daughter to the world.
