So it’s no surprise in 2020 that the other shoe dropped and some bad karma came her way. The restaurateur is facing a new lawsuit over allegedly breaking California labor laws at her SUR eatery.

SUR Owner Sued Again Over Labor Laws

The Pump Rules boss has been on the receiving end of several lawsuits over the years. Previous lawsuits include allegations of harassment happening at Villa Blanca. In fact, Lisa recently confirmed that Villa Blanca will NOT reopen after the coronavirus crisis passes. While she cites high rent, many fans suspect it has to do with losing the court case about the harassment. Note that neither Lisa nor her husband Ken Todd were accused of harassing anyone. However, the lawsuit alleges that they knew about the harassment happening among employees and didn’t stop it.

In late 2019, a former SUR employee, Adam Pierce Antoine, sued the former RHOBH star for breaking California labor laws. Other SUR employees co-sign the lawsuit, alleging among other things, that they didn’t get overtime pay or meal breaks.

This new lawsuit also comes from even more SUR employees. Filed by Olivia Beverly Hanson, the lawsuit includes similar allegations from the previous lawsuit from 2019. E News reports that Hanson worked at SUR for just three months, from October 2019 to January 2020.

Her lawsuit alleges that workers were did not receive overtime pay or given accurate wage statements. Additionally, employees didn’t get meal or rest breaks as California labor law mandates.

The previous lawsuit from 2019 is still ongoing, as well as the new suit.
