Where do you remember him from?
Mahlon Reyes was on the show Deadliest Catch and he appeared as a deckhand on the Seabrooke and Cape Caution. While crabbing, he reportedly suffered from a torn Achilles tendon. He had been working on healing this recently.
His plan had been to go back to Alaska again for the next crabbing season. You never know he might have even shown up on a future season of the show.
The fans are really shocked to hear this news and have been replying on Twitter with their condolences. Here are a few responses from fans.
- I watch this show. The guys say they loose more people to the lifestyle than to the sea. The majority of them smoke like freight trains.
- It’s one of the deadliest jobs I heard on Indeed
- Breaks my heart. These men have the hardest job out there. The elements alone are deadly.
my heart goes out to all of you. RIP big guy
- RIP Bro #FishOn
There were also a lot of replies simply saying “RIP.” Maybe they will decide to show the spreading of his ashes or a few memories on an upcoming season of the show. There has been no mention of him having Coronavirus, but a few fans have asked if that was what happened. It doesn’t seem that way, though.
