'Shameless' Season 10 Hits Netflix, Any Season 11 News Yet?

The wait is over Netflix subscribers as Shameless Season 10 is finally here! News recently broke that Shameless Season 10 got an official Netflix release date of July 26th. So, in just a few hours, you’ll be able to binge your way through yet another season of Shameless!

Shameless Season 10 hits Netflix, what to expect?

Not everyone has cable. And, not everyone is willing to pay for Showtime. Some just decided to wait for the Netflix release date of Shameless Season 10. Fortunately, it is here! Moreover, it has been a while since Season 10 aired on TV. So, some of us might just be looking to re-watch the episodes! Whether you are re-watching or tuning in for the first time you might have one big question on your mind. What should you expect from Season 10?

Shameless Season 10 was an approach with caution situation. We learned Emmy Rossum (who played Fiona) was no longer going to be with the show. She had been a member of the cast since the very first episode. So, this was pretty hard for fans to deal with.

Things got a little easier when we also learned Cameron Monaghan (who plays Ian) and Noel Fisher (who plays Mickey Milkovich) would be returning to the series.

One of the biggest things to expect from Season 10 is seeing someone else step into Fiona’s shoes. Now, Jeremy Allen White (who plays Lip) was the most likely candidate. After all, he is the next oldest Gallagher. But, Lip has Tami and his own child now. So, taking care of his siblings as well might be a bit too much for him to handle.

It is actually Emma Kenney (who plays Debbie) that steps up to take over as the head of household. As the trailer reveals, Debbie has some of her own issues as she appears to be abusing the money Fiona left behind for her family.

So. Much. Gallavich.

What fans looked forward to more than just about anything was Mickey and Ian. Mickey is an interesting character because fans did not like him when the series kicked off. But, when we learned he was homosexual and into Ian… Things changed.

Mickey grey into this incredible person and he’s so protective of Ian. Their relationship is beautiful. And, you really get a generous helping of Gallavich in Season 10!

Do we know anything about Season 11, yet?

Technically, Shameless Season 11 should have already started production. But, COVID-19 shut production down shortly before it could even begin. The entire cast of Shameless is always very open about production progress on Instagram.

And, they appear to be in different places and doing their own things right now. So, we have no reason to believe they have started productions yet. Unfortunately, this does mean it is unlikely we’ll see Season 11 this year as we originally expected.
