Joy Duggar Gives Baby Update After 36-Week Appointment
On Saturday, July 25, Joy-Anna Duggar shared a new video on YouTube. The former Counting On star is currently expecting her second child with husband Austin Forsyth. In the video she shared, the couple heads to her 36-week checkup in preparation for the baby’s arrival.

In mid-March, Joy and Austin shared the big news that they are expecting a new baby! The couple tragically lost a baby at 20 weeks gestation in summer 2019. This new baby on the way is their rainbow baby. This refers to a baby after a loss as a rainbow after a storm.

This new baby will join big brother Gideon, who’s two years old.
Recently, Joy revealed the couple’s plans for the baby’s name. They decided that they aren’t going to name their baby until she arrives. Nonetheless, Duggar fans are eager to hear about the baby’s arrival and the name the couple chooses.
Joy and Austin head to 36-week appointment, share update
On Saturday, July 25, Joy and Austin shared a new video on their family’s YouTube channel. In the video, Joy and Austin talk about going to her 36-week appointment.
The couple first drops off Gideon at Jim Bob and Michelle’s home, because Joy’s younger sister Johannah is babysitting Gideon. At the end of the video, Joy asks Gideon if he had fun with his aunts. He sweetly answers, “Yeah.”
After the appointment, Joy and Austin fill viewers in on the baby girl. In the video, Joy explains that the baby is head down. She also says that the baby is a normal size, so she’s not too big. She says that they will go in at 37 weeks for another checkup.
In the new video, Joy says that they “haven’t even thought of names,” calling it “crazy.” Fortunately, they probably still have a couple of weeks until the baby’s arrival.
As TV Shows Ace reports, Joy is opting for a hospital birth. While some of her family members stick to home births, she is not this time around. In a recent video, the Duggar daughter is packing her hospital bags and getting ready for the baby’s arrival. She excitedly shows off the cute clothes and essentials she’s bringing along.
