90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? brought Asuelu Pulau and Kalani Faagata back to the TLC franchise. In July, fans saw a lot of tension between the couple. Actually, at one stage, Asuelu left her and kids. Now, she says she suffers from severe depression and called for fans to take note of their mental health.
90 Day Fiance – Kalani and Asuelu have problems, and she suffered from depression
Fans of the show slam Asuelu as immature and acting like a child himself. In fact, some of them think he brings nothing to the marriage other than a third child for Kalani. We reported in June, that Asuelu set his mind on going to Samoa with family. But, they didn’t really have enough money for the resort he planned on staying at. Plus, a massive measles outbreak worried Kalani. Eventually, she persuaded him that they should see a doctor about vaccinations.
However, Asuelu disagreed with the woman that they should wait a while. His grounds for it? Only a man can be a doctor. Fans of Happily Ever After? naturally slammed him for that. But they also tore into him for being such a pathetic dad, we noted. So, Asuelu gets a lot of heat from all directions. Although the 90 Day Fiance show got filmed before the coronavirus travel restrictions, fans think its no wonder Kalani suffers from some depression.
Kalani shares about depression and mental health
Taking to Instagram on July 24, Kalani shared a long caption about the state of her mental health. InTouch Weekly noted that while Asuleu promised to make a better effort, she struggles with her state of mind right now. Clearly, judging by what she said, she needs to worry about her mental health. In part, Kalani said, “I can feel myself going deeper and deeper into depression, to a degree that I haven’t seen for a few years.”
Additionally, the 90 Day Fiance star described it as rather “scary.” She wondered if “quarantine” helped exacerbate her depressive state. But, she’s aware of it and urged her followers to take care. She wrote, “Just a friendly reminder to take care of your mental health, friends, especially with everything going on in the world.” Kalani also attributed her cute kids for helping her get through. Many fans reacted to her post about depression.

I haven’t felt like myself lately. I can feel myself going deeper and deeper into depression, to a degree that I haven’t seen for a few years. It’s scary that I’ve worked hard on correcting habits and ideas that took me to those places, only to have them pop-up out of nowhere. The majority of people in my circle are feeling the same way. Maybe it’s being stuck in quarantine? Maybe it’s the stress of uncertainty in almost all aspects of life? Whatever it is, I hope it ends soon, ‘cause this shit sucks. Just a friendly reminder to take care of your mental health, friends, especially with everything going on in the world. Looking at pictures of my boys happy (and quiet 🤭) helped me through today. What’s getting you by?
