The Bachelorette is looking a little different this year. Some men got cut from the season, and now they are speaking a bit on their experiences.
‘The Bachelorette’ during a pandemic
The Bachelorette, starring leading lady, Clare Crawley, has been put on hold after it was initially to be filmed in March. Of course, with quarantine, things had to be delayed to keep everyone safe. Now, the men are filming in a “bubble” after already quarantining for the appropriate amount of time.
According to US Weekly, altogether there have been 42 men involved in the making of this season and some may appear but not stay around long. This is because they were the original men picked in March. Now, some of the men couldn’t get time off for filming anymore or, were just cut altogether for different reasons. However, recently, a new cast list was announced. That may be why there are some faces that pop up but are never seen again.
“The chances are, for everybody to be able to put their life on hold and come back again is very slim,” Chris Harrison said in March. “So yeah, we are still casting, so if you have somebody you think is great for this beautiful woman right here.”

❤️Dear self- I want to thank you. You walked on so many difficult journeys these past few years. You fought battles- with those who love you, and with those whom you love. You were let down time and time again, but you didn’t let it shatter your faith in relationships, in love. You’ve had to prove your worth to those unworthy and you were broken – more than words can explain but you have been reborn. You found your true self and changed the meaning of your life – turning it into something beautiful, into something worth living! So, I want to say that I’m proud of you. I know how hard it has been. I cannot thank you enough for taking care of me. I promise that I will continue to take care of you too. Just keeping strong. For me. Keep going. Keep on fighting. You know you can do this. – Ruby Dahl
The old contestants speak out
Now, some of the contestants that got cut are speaking out on the situation.
“First and foremost, I want to thank @bacheloretteabc for this amazing experience. For those who do not know, I was recently cut from the show and I respect their decision,” Collins Youngblood wrote. Collins was a cut contestant from the March version of the season.

First and foremost, I want to thank @bacheloretteabc for this amazing experience. For those who do not know, I was recently cut from the show and I respect their decision. Please do not ask me on why I was cut. Most importantly, I want to thank all of my friends, colleagues, and family for their advice and support through this process. Love you guys and this is only the beginning.

There really seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why some of the OG men were cut. Maybe it’s just because Clare didn’t see potential so they got new men while they had the time? Honestly, there’s no telling what’s going on there.
