Getting serious! Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay is making a big move. She low-key revealed on Instagram over the weekend that she’s moving to San Diego. Her boyfriend of almost a year, Brock Davies, lives there. Schena has several different places she calls home.
While several of her VPR co-stars bought houses in “the Valley,” Scheana opted for a rental in Marina Del Rey. When the coronavirus pandemic struck in March, she went to her vacation home in Palm Springs. The couple quarantined together in Palm Springs, though they often spent time in San Diego, too.
VPR Star Recently Went Through a Miscarriage
Scheana revealed earlier this month that she had a devastating miscarriage at only six-weeks pregnant. As fans know, Scheana has struggled with fertility issues for years. In fact, she’s undergone several rounds of egg retrievals for future IVF treatments. However, her recent pregnancy was natural and entirely unexpected.
Sadly, Scheana lost the baby before she could even tell her dad or her fans. Her pregnancy coincided with former VPR co-star Stassi Schroeder’s pregnancy. Stassi is expecting a baby girl in 2021.
However, the “Good as Gold” singer had Brock there to support her through the miscarriage. It seems to have brought the couple closer together.
VPR‘s Scheana Cites ‘High Rent’ as Part of Moving to San Diego
On Sunday, July 19, Scheana shared a photo of her trip to Viejas Casino and Resort in San Diego. She poses in a bikini alongside the resort’s pool. Scheana’s VPR co-star and bestie, Ariana Madix, poses next to her. Both women are wearing masks.
The photo itself isn’t a giveaway about her moving plans. However, the caption lets fans know of her plans. Scheana writes that the resort is “beginning to feel like home.” She adds “and soon SD [San Diego] will be!”
Fans immediately jumped in the comments with praise for San Diego. However, many also wanted details. Bravo TV reports that a fan asked Scheana if subleasing her Marina del Rey is an option. Scheana noted that subletting is “illegal” for her rental. Additionally, she said that “no one can afford to rent a $4,500 place right now.”
Even if she’s moving to San Diego, it seems Scheana plans to continue working at SUR. She told another follower that she’ll “get a smaller place” near SUR once the restaurant is open to the public again.
SUR and Lisa Vanderpump’s other L.A. restaurants have been closed since March. Sadly, Lisa recently confirmed that Villa Blanca won’t reopen at all.
Scheana revealed that she’s “still paying rent” at her rental in Marina del Rey. Which is a “huge waste of money.”
The VPR star doesn’t say when she plans the big move. Nor did she say if she’ll live with Brock or get her own place.
Bravo has yet to announce if Vanderpump Rules will return for Season 9. Check back with us for updates on Scheana’s move and VPR’s future.
