Fans are more than ready for their favorite shows to get back to filming. Everyone is excited to know Clare Crawley is getting ready to start filming The Bachelorette. And, with her season kicking off, fans are wondering when The Bachelor will start filming as well. Matt James is more than ready to get busy as the first Black male lead on the franchise. So when can fans expect filming to start?
The Bachelor Matt James is ready to film
US Weekly is sharing information about when fans can expect to see Matt James start filming The Bachelor. Apparently, as long as there are no more shutdowns or delays, producers are hoping to start filming Matt’s season in September. This would put The Bachelor right back on track to wrap up in November and then air in January 2021.
Last year, Peter Weber started filming September 20. As long as coronavirus doesn’t interfere this will put the franchise back on track.
Producers have been working overtime to get production up and going. Clare’s season is filming in California exclusively at a resort. There will be no traveling at all. The entire season will be filmed within this elaborate resort in LaQuinta, California. Chances are Matt’s season will follow Clare’s as far as no traveling. No locations for his season have been confirmed or announced. No doubt as soon as spoiler guru Reality Steve has that information he will pass it along.
He’s ready for the job
Matt is more than ready to take on the role as the Season 25 lead. He was announced as The Bachelor following outcries for more diversity within the franchise. However, head executives say the petitions and outcries had nothing to do with their selection. They shared Matt had been on their radar for some time.
And, he was set to date Clare Crawley on The Bachelorette. Obviously that won’t happen now and probably for the best. Clare had already seemed to pick a fight with him when she went to Twitter criticizing an unnamed contestant for doing the show for the wrong reasons.
And, Matt is actually Tyler Cameron’s roommate and best friend. Plus, it was also recently discovered that another friend of Tyler’s was set to date Clare. For whatever reason he will no longer be cast on her season.
Matt said when he was announced as The Bachelor that he was excited. He said, “I’ve heard from a lot of my Black friends that aren’t Bachelor Nation faithful that are excited about me and honored that I’m in the position I’m in and have this opportunity to just represent what it’s going to look like to have diverse relationships and tell those love stories.”
Fans can’t wait to follow Matt’s journey as well. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
