Why Isn’t Joy Duggar Sharing About Her Baby Shower?
As TV Shows Ace reports, Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth recently had her baby shower. The Counting On star and her husband, Austin Forsyth, are expecting their second child together. Their son, Gideon, is two years old. The couple lost a baby in the summer of 2019. Now, Joy is due to have a baby girl very soon.
While others have shared pictures from the baby shower, Joy has yet to post about it on social media. Is there a reason she hasn’t shared, or is she simply choosing not to?
Jill Duggar Dillard, Carlin Bates share baby shower photos
On social media, some of Joy’s closest friends and family have posted pictures from the baby shower. On her Instagram stories, Jill shared a couple of snaps from the celebration.
In addition, Carlin Bates of Bringing Up Bates shared some pictures. Carlin and Joy are best friends, so Carlin and her husband, Evan Stewart, visited Joy and Austin in Arkansas. They spent the 4th of July together and also celebrated Joy’s baby on the way.
In the photos, Joy Duggar wears a floral print dress with a green cardigan. Along with sharing a few photos from the baby shower, Carlin writes, “Joy, I’m SO excited to celebrate this occasion with you! 💛 Crossing all these new roads together and watching your sweet little family continue to grow has been amazing! God is doing great things in and through you guys! I can’t wait for our little girls to meet and become best friends… whether they like it or not.”

Why didn’t Joy share the photos?
Joy uses social media quite often. So, it might seem odd that she hasn’t shared the photos from her own baby shower. After all, she’s been sharing plenty of pregnancy updates over the past few months. She recently let her followers know that she and Austin won’t be giving the baby a name until she’s born.
Nonetheless, Joy has yet to post the baby shower photos at this point. It’s unclear whether she ever will, but Duggar fans have been able to see the pictures elsewhere since friends and family are sharing them.
One reason that Joy might not be posting the photos is that she was previously under fire for ignoring coronavirus safety guidelines. She gathered with family amid the pandemic, was called out for it, and ended up deleting her social media post.
So, maybe Joy is choosing not to share any other gatherings or celebrations as a way to prevent backlash again. She did share a new post about her son Gideon after he spilled baking powder all over the rug. Because of this recent post, it’s obvious that she isn’t taking a social media break.
