The Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd got some more backlash. It all went down when Kelly explained all the bad things that happened in 2020. She listed Kobe Bryant’s death, the coronavirus pandemic, the riots, and Kanye West running for President.
But she failed to mention missing Glee star Naya Rivera and the Black Lives Matter movement. Her followers took to her Instagram post to remind her about them. The RHOC star has received lots of backlash in the past few months alone. It appears to have increased with the ongoing Bravo firings. Some fans have asked the network to remove her from the show.
RHOC star Kelly Dodd ignores Naya Rivera’s search and Black Lives Matter
On the show, Kelly Dodd often speaks without a filter. She’s like that in real-life, especially on social media. In her latest Instagram post, Kelly made of list of every bad thing that happened. On her list, she included the Australia wildfires, Kobe and Gigi’s untimely death, the global pandemic, murder hornets, the riots across the U.S., and UFO sightings. She even included Kanye West running for President of the United States.
But there are two important things she forgot to mention, as per The Blast. First, Kelly failed to mention missing Glee actress Naya Rivera. She also forgot the Black Lives Matter movement against racism and police brutality.
“Glee star Naya Rivera is missing! Don’t forget her!” one follower wrote.
As TV Shows Ace reported, Naya Rivera went missing on Wednesday, July 8 after she dove into Lake Piru in Ventura County. She vanished without a trace. Her four-year-old son, Josey Hollis Dorsey, returned on the boat rental alone. He reportedly told authorities that his mom jumped into the lake and never returned.
Divers began searching late Wednesday evening and resumed the search on Thursday morning. Ventura County Sherriff’s Office has changed the status from search and rescue to recovery, as they believe the 33-year-old actress is dead.
Fans continue to slam Kelly
Kelly Dodd received more backlash over this latest post. Most of her followers pointed out that she failed to include the Black Lives Matter movement on her list.
“Nothing about police killing black men but you mentioned riots? Unbelievable,” one follower commented.
“You’re forgetting numerous black people being killed by the police,” a second follower wrote.
While the search is still underway for Naya Rivera’s body, Kelly failed to mention the Glee star or the Black Lives Matter movement. However, this isn’t the first time that fans called out the reality star for failing to mention the movement. Previously, fans slammed her for her inappropriate remarks about coronavirus and failing to mention George Floyd’s death.
When Bravo kicked off their firing spree, fans demanded the network to fire Kelly Dodd. They call her social media posts “insensitive” and “tone-deaf.”
