‘Teen Mom 2’ Kailyn Lowry Opens Up On High-Risk Pregnancy And Home Birth Plan
Kailyn Lowry, Teen Mom 2 star, is at high-risk. She is pregnant again, but her weight could be causing her some issues.
‘Teen Mom 2’ mom struggles
Kailyn has had three children prior to this pregnancy with no struggles. However, her fourth pregnancy is a bit different. This pregnancy is at high-risk because she’s at her highest weight she has ever been US Weekly says. However, that doesn’t mean she’s facing complications. The pregnancy itself is actually going pretty well.
“I am at the heaviest weight I’ve ever been — before I got pregnant and then obviously now while I’m pregnant,” she revealed on her podcast. “So that’s been a little hard, but also I haven’t had any real complications. Like, I just haven’t. My glucose is good. All my stuff is good. So I went into the doctor today and I saw a new doctor.”

Her home birth may not happen
Originally, Kail wanted to have a home birth. However, with the risk and the fact that she’s anemic, her doctor doesn’t know if that will happen. Because she’s anemic she may be losing a lot of blood when giving birth and a doctor would need to be there to monitor that in case an emergency arose.
“And then on top of it said, ‘Because you’re anemic because you lose more blood with every baby, we wouldn’t want to see you get a blood transfusion.”
Kailyn doesn’t necessarily think this is fair since her high-risk comes with her weight. She isn’t actually experiencing any differences from that risk. So, she is still thinking about doing this birth at home like she wants to.
“The only reason why I’m high-risk at this point is because of my weight, and everything seems to be fine,” she said.
Wait she’s pregnant again?
Kailyn revealed that she was pregnant in February this year. The father of the baby is Chris Lopez. Chris is also the father of her youngest son, Lux. Other than Lux and the new baby, Kailyn has two other boys. Her firstborn was born when she was on her season of 16 and Pregnant.
