‘Counting On’ Jill Duggar’s Cousin Amy Says She Is Looking Happier These Days
There just might be a silver lining to Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s distancing themselves from her parents. Jill’s cousin Amy King shared that Jill is smiling “brighter” than ever lately on Instagram.
Love a good heading
The former Counting On star’s cousin tagged her in a new Instagram post on Tuesday, July 7 according to InTouch Weekly,.
She captioned the post, “You smile just a bit brighter these days! So proud of you, hippie chick!” Fans agreed in the comments and sent their messages of support.
One fan said, “Jill I’ve been watching your growth and it’s making my heart happy. I’m can see it, and I’m so happy for you!!” Another user said, “She is looking happier now 😊” and a third fan commented, “Jill is a new woman and I really like her. Keep pushing the envelope girl.”
It’s clear that those close to Jill and strangers alike are seeing positive changes in her. Now, Amy did not flat out mention Jill and Derick’s feud with the Duggar parents, but of course, it is the timing that has everyone speculating her happiness is related to her putting space between herself and Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

The family feud between Jill and her parents
The family feud between the Dillards and the Duggars was originally just based on fan speculation, but Derick Dillard made several comments in 2019 that seem to confirm it. InTouch goes on to report that back in October 2019 a fan wrote that they hoped the rumors of a “falling out” between the two patriarchs weren’t true. Derick then wrote back, “Why do you hope it’s not true?”
At the beginning of 2020 fans even started to predict that Derick will eventually write a tell-all book revealing what it is truly like to be a member of the Duggar family.
There have even have been several Duggar family events and photos shared to social media where the Dillards seem to be missing. Most recently, Michelle posted photos of a water-color painting session with her grandchildren. Fans immediately noticed Jill and Derick’s sons were missing from the Instagram photos.
Jill Duggar is finding herself
Jill Duggar seems to be forging her own path since she has spent less time under her parents’ wings. She has chopped off several inches of her hair, wears pants, and even wears denim shorts. Additionally, she and Derick have implied that they even use birth control!
