Scheana Shay opened up about her “most difficult” podcast episode yet. Last month, the Vanderpump Rules star talked about her devastating miscarriage. She even shared more details on her YouTube channel. Talking about her miscarriage hasn’t been easy for her. However, she feels that she needed to tell her story, her way.
It’s probably because of the VPR editing drama she went through in Season 8. One of the show’s editors admitted to making Scheana look boy crazy because she wouldn’t befriend her. Bravo has since fired that editor. Since then, Scheana has been sharing more of her life on her podcast and social media platform.
Scheana Shay reveals the real reason why she opened up about her miscarriage
The 35-year-old returned to her “Schenanigans” podcast on Friday, July 3. Scheana Shay revealed why she chose to share her miscarriage with her followers. It turns out the Vanderpump Rules star wanted to get her story out of the way.
“I’ve felt like last week was obviously a very tough week for me,” Scheana said, as per Us Weekly. “I know it was the most difficult podcast I’ve ever recorded. I thank you all of you who listened to all of it.”
On the Friday, June 26 episode of her podcast, she opened up about her unexpected pregnancy and miscarriage. On the Bravo show, Scheana gave viewers a glimpse into her IVF journey. On the show, she explained that she had trouble conceiving a baby on her own. During her latest podcast episode, Scheana said she wants to share her side of the story – even if it was hard for her.

I sure do have amazing friends. 💞 Thank you for all of the love & support you have given me this past week and always. (And that goes for all of you too!) 💗 Life isn’t always easy, but I think it’s important to talk about the tough times bc that’s what makes us stronger. New @scheananigans with @jamielynne24 is out now! And @jasminegoode_ will be back in the studio w me soon! Link in profile 🌈
“I just really wanted to get my story out my way,” she said. “I didn’t want to do an interview, have it manipulated, soundbites taken here and there. I just wanted to put everything out on my own platform, in my own voice.”
Scheana has been quarantining by herself in Palm Springs. Her boyfriend, Brock Davies, is back in Australia. Her cohost, Jamie Lynne, visited her to record the latest episode of the show. The “Good as Gold” singer has been resting, as she’s not 100% ready to return to the studio. She admits that she’s been “hibernating” since the miscarriage news.
Vanderpump Rules star relies on her friends during this difficult time
Scheana Shay did meet with her friends at Elephante restaurant in Santa Monica. That’s when she reached out to some of her closest friends.
“I went there both nights this weekend because it is one of my favorite places to eat and I just felt like I needed to get out,” she said. “I wanted to see the ocean. I just wanted to be back at the beach and that’s my favorite place to go.”

This weekend, I wanted to celebrate my love for this amazing human who has had my back and been my rock in some very low times, especially recently. I celebrated what a good day I was having with those closest to us but I also had a moment when I was just sad and needed to be alone. I remembered that it’s okay to feel my feelings and i don’t always need to be “on”. This week on my YouTube channel I’ll be putting out two vlogs, one today and one Wednesday. Celebrating LOVE! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎💥🏳️🌈 And thank you @clintbrandoncave for another dope photo!!
While it was good to see her friends, she’s not ready to interview guests yet. But she will continue “to put out weekly content.” Scheana feels more comfortable hosting her podcast from home.
Scheana Shay and Brock Davies were happy about the pregnancy news, but that happiness turned into sadness after the couple traveled to San Diego and Scheana was “bleeding all weekend.” She returned to the doctor who confirmed there was no heartbeat on the ultrasound.
