Jon Gosselin posted up a 4th of July photo. In it, fans saw his daughter Hannah and his girlfriend, Colleen Conrad. They went out to the Back Bay Ale House. Jon Gosselin explained that his son Collin didn’t feature in the photo. It seems odd that he feels he should do that. But, fans seem obsessed about Collin and his whereabouts.
Jon Gosselin shares a photo and Collin’s absent
When Jon shared his 4th of July photo, he explained, “Happy Fourth of July 🇺🇸 to every one!!! Sorry for the late post!!! Collin had other plans with his friends this weekend, that’s why he is not in the picture. (shame I have to explain all that, but I just did)!!!!” As one fan pointed out, “if you didn’t explain where Collin is you’d have a hundred people asking where he is so I see why you would cover that topic. Happy 4th!”
In almost every post that Jon shares of his family, if Collin’s not in the photo, people ask where he is. Last week, we reported that Jon and Colleen spent time in Florida for her birthday. Plenty of people asked about the kids. As we pointed out, Hannah and Collin grew up a lot since fans last saw them on television. Young adults now, past their 16th birthdays, they probably went and hung out with friends.
Fans always worry where Collin is – why is that?
Probably, fans don’t suspect some giant conspiracy keeps Collin out the photos from time to time. But, they worry about him. After all, he spent a lot of time away from his family when his mom, Kate, put him in an institution. US Weekly reminds readers that “Jon Gosselin removed his son, Collin, from Fairmont Behavioral Health Institute in 2018 after he begged for help.” His letter smuggled out of the Institution got to his dad.
In it, Collin accused his mother, Kate of Kate Plus 8 fame, of being abusive. He wrote that she was “abusive to me after I left your house. I’m sorry. Take this to court because … you’re my dad, my savior.” The outlet reminds readers that Kate sent Collin away, despite his diagnosis merely being ADHD. Luckily, Jon got custody of Collin and the young man looks very happy living with Colleen, Jon, her kids, and his sister Hannah.
Collin’s not a little kid anymore
Collin’s growing up. At going on 17, the little boy fans saw on Kate Plus 8 long disappeared. Jon sends his son to a therapist and obviously, that kind of rejection takes time for recovery. But soon, Collin’s gonna be out here driving and dating girls. Maybe he thinks about college. But at 16, he probably enjoys spending time with friends, doing normal teenage things. Normal kids do that. As they grow older, they don’t always need daddy around holding their hands.
The fact that Collin spends time apart from his dad seems like one of the most normal things the young man ever did. Do you agree? Sound off in the comments below.
