Kourtney Kardashian Starting Keto Diet After Putting On Quarantine Weight

Kourtney Kardashian started her keto diet because she gained a bit of weight in quarantine. Kourtney has tried keto a few times, the last time was four months ago. The reality star is starting keto again which cuts out foods such as grains, beans, and juice. Kourtney made the announcement via her Instagram Story on Monday. The caption to a picture of a salad with turkey, avocado and cheese read “Keto starts today …”

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star decided to give keto a break in March. In reality, “at home we are gluten and dairy-free; my skin is very sensitive, and if I eat dairy, it affects it. I love doing a keto diet, though I’m not doing it now. I noticed my body change for the better.” Kourtney said. However, Kardashian didn’t say why she’s decided to give keto another chance. She has been truthful about gaining a little weight while in quarantine.

Clapping Back At Instagram Trolls

Back in May the Poosh founder responded to Instagram users who wondered if Kourtney Kardashian was pregnant, “This is me when I have a few extra pounds on, and I actually love it,” she said. “I have given birth three amazing times and this is the shape of my body.”

During a YouTube session with Poosh members Kourtney referenced her epic clapback. “I commented and said, ‘This is my body shape. I did gain a few pounds over this quarantine, and I love my body. I’m proud of my shape and I’m obviously posting it,’” she explained at the time. “I don’t think I look pregnant at all.”

Kourtney admitted to her younger sister Khloe during a video chat last month that she ate “four cakes in two weeks.” All while in quarantine and she tries to balance her eating whenever possible. “I choose my calories wisely,” she explained during the discussion. “For me, eating is a lifestyle, but I have my times … like when I go to Italy, I’m definitely not trying to eat a certain way, but I love healthy food as well.”

Kourtney Kardashian Is Doing What Works Best For Her

Kourtney Kardashian has said that when she does look at losing a few pounds that keto “works best for me.” as does intermittent fasting which involves not eating for about 14 to 16 hours at a time.

According to Us Weekly Kourtney has admitted, “My body never looked better than when I did the keto diet two and half years ago, when I did it for two months.” That initially she went on the diet as part of a metal detox. “In my experience, I’ve found the best method to train my body to curb sugar cravings, burn fat and kick-start weight loss is by sticking to a keto diet.”
