The Little Couple show’s off-season at the moment. Fans wait hopefully for renewal by TLC. However, in the meantime, mom Jen Arnold keeps them up to date via her social media. She shared that Little Zoey just celebrated Pride Month by making some creative rainbow art. Fans love that she teaches the kids inclusivity.
The Little Couple – Jen teaches the kids about Pride Month
Jen Arnold took to Instagram on Sunday and shared some pictures that Zoey made. They looked very attractive in rainbow colors. Jen captioned her post with, “Love is Love #pride #pridemonth #littlecouple.” As usual, Zoey looked very cute in the photo and plenty of fans commented about that. Others asked when a new season comes along because they adore the family. But others talked about educating the kids young.
One fan wrote, “What a doll! Love these pieces of #pride art!” Another The Little Couple fan commented, “You just continue…my favorite TLC family! Thank you for showing such beautiful inclusion!” Another person really approved of the rainbow art. They noted, “Jennifer, you and your family truly make the world a better place🤗.” Then, another fan wrote, “thank you more than you can know for raising your kids with this knowledge. love is, indeed, love! 😊♥️🏳️🌈”
Pride Month and inclusivity
For those people unaware of the history of Pride Month, Forbes wrote an article. They noted that these days people celebrate the month with joy, festivals, and happiness. But years ago, nobody celebrated. In fact, they drew a parallel about old Pride problems and the current riots. In the late 1960s, the outlet reminds readers that police raided a same-gender bar. Back then, days people actually got arrested for same-gender relationships.
Maybe The Little Couple mom taught Zoey all of this already. But not everyone knows the roots of Pride Month. This time, when the police went into the bar, some named “Marsha P. Johnson cried ‘I got my civil rights!'” Then they “threw a shot glass into a mirror.” A huge fight ensued and them later, riots began. The rioters “broke windows, set cars on fire, and injured three police officers.” The police ended up “barricading themselves inside the Stonewall Inn.”
LGBTQ riots led to change
Later, after word spread, the riots spread and it went on for days. The media coverage revealed the human side of the rioters. People realized that those in the LGBTQ community also deserved the same rights. These days, people use the hashtag #LoveIsLove in honor of that. It certainly looks like Dr. Jen Arnold makes sure that Zoey knows and understands all about Pride Month and the reasons for celebration.
