’90 Day Fiancé’: Yazan’s Family Prefer Incest To Brittany
As 90 Day Fiancé fans know, Yazan’s family does not care for Brittany. In fact, according to Screen Rant, some viewers of the TLC series suspect cultural differences will be the downfall of the relationship. Just how much does Yazan’s family dislike his relationship with Brittany? Keep reading to find out!
Neither fans nor Yazan’s family are feeling the relationship with Brittany.
90 Day Fiancé stars Yazan and Brittany are currently on screen via the second Season of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Yazan is 24. A recent college graduate. Currently, his place of employment is his family’s fish market. He comes from a conservative Muslim family. Given how close he and his family are, it isn’t too surprising that they would weigh in so strongly on his relationship with Brittany.
Now, Brittany, on the other hand, she is from Florida. She is a social media influencer. And, she is an aspiring rapper. Culture wise, the duo could not be more different.
Given how different they are… Some viewers of the TLC series just do not think the relationship works. They have a hard time wrapping their heads around it.
Despite how his family and the viewers feel… Brittany and Yazan are very much in love. As viewers know, however, there is a small hitch in their relationship. Brittany technically isn’t available to be married. (She hasn’t gotten a divorce from her ex.) Making things even more complicated… She hasn’t exactly told Yazan about it yet.
His family insists marrying an American goes against their culture.
Now, Yazan’s family disliking Brittany doesn’t have much to do with who she is as a person. Their issue with the relationship seems to reside in their differences. His family warns marrying an American will cause problems. They do not share a religion. They do not share a culture. And, they do not share the same beliefs.
On the most recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Yazan shocked and horrified both viewers and producers. He revealed just how much his family detested the relationship. Turns out, they would prefer incest.
According to Yazan, the reason his family was so upset was simple. They wanted him to marry a relative instead. Now, to be fair, because of the cultural differences it might not be considered incest to his family. But, it certainly wasn’t easy information for the American viewers to swallow.
Yazan does have concerns over how Brittany dresses.
Now, there are things Yazan is concerned about. He worries Brittany does not dress appropriately to be respectful around his family. Yazan shared his concerns with TLC producers during the most recent episode. He explains his culture has very modest standards. And, he isn’t sure how well Brittany will adjust.
“I might be a little nervous,” Yazan reveals. “During her first trip here, she did a lot of inappropriate things. When she stepped off the plane, she was wearing a short skirt with spaghetti straps. Half of her br**sts were hanging out.”
Yazan continued to explain her choice in clothing certainly played a factor in why his friends and family do not care for her. He added there was a lot of conversation about her not being “compatible” with him. Despite what his family and friends seem to think… Yazan insists he is in love. And, he doesn’t really seem to care what they think. He, however, is sad that his friends and family do not support him.

If Brittany is going to be with Yazan she will have to make adjustments to the way she lives. He tells producers he hopes she will embrace the adjustments. And, he hopes she does not find them too restrictive of how she currently lives her life.
The Arab culture doesn’t have the short and tight clothes she wears in Florida. So, she’ll be wearing the hijab and abaya here in Jordan.”
His brother warns the relationship is not a good idea.
Obaida, Yazan’s brother, has warned the 90 Day Fiancé star the relationship is not a good idea. His brother believes he is making a mistake by getting involved with her. He insisted the relationship is “no good” for his brother. And, he does not believe Brittany is good for him either.
Yazan, however, fought back with his brother. He shut the conversation down. He protested Brittany was a great girl.
“First of all, you don’t know her well enough. Why don’t you marry a local girl? One of your own? You know her intentions, you know her family, you know her relatives. An Arabic, Muslim woman.” His brother continues to warn.

Yazan added that simply marrying a Muslim woman was not what his family wanted. They wanted him to keep it in the family. They wanted him to marry someone related by blood.
He explains: “My family’s preference would have been that I choose a relative. My parents, they are related to each other. A lot of my family members are related to each other.”
Regardless of how his Yazan’s family feels about Brittany, he remains confident. He wants to be with her because he loves her. He feels she’s the right one.
