Lala Kent broke her silence since the Vanderpump Rules firings. Her fellow co-stars – Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni – lost their gigs last week. The shocking news came amid the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests. Now, Lala feels she’s had an “awakening.”
TV Shows Ace previously reported that she has been silent on social media. However, she returned over the weekend on her fiancé Randall Emmett’s Instagram account. On Monday, June 15, the former SUR hostess took to Instagram to address the ongoing scandal. VPR fans demanded the firings of several more castmates, including Lala herself.
Lala Kent reveals her “awakening” on social media
Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent took to Instagram to announce that she’s had an “awakening,” per The Blast. But most VPR fans don’t care since they feel she acts like a bully towards her castmates. Lala shared a photo of protestors holding “Black Lives Matter” signs from Sunday’s protests in Hollywood. She even attended the event herself. In the caption, Lala owned up to her “white privilege.”
“The last few weeks I’ve had an awakening I’ve never experienced before,” the reality star wrote in the Instagram post.” She also reminded fans that she’s “always been a supporter of the BLM movement; I’ve been a supporter even before then. As the days go on I realize that that isn’t enough.”

The last few weeks I’ve had an awakening I’ve never experienced before. I’ve always been a supporter of the BLM movement; I’ve been a supporter even before then. As the days go on I realize that that isn’t enough. For real change that I, like so many, want to see, I need to check my privilege. I have to acknowledge every difference, and help advance the future. I need to educate myself everyday. I don’t want the protests to “calm down”. I don’t want the conversation to stop. I don’t want people to stop calling me out on things that otherwise, my inherent privilege, wouldn’t see. I really love you all. Here is to adjusting our country- justice, equality, compassion- Change. #BlackLivesMatter
Lala admits that she needs to “check” her own privilege. She wants to acknowledge other lives and help raise awareness.
The model says she must “educate” herself on a daily basis. Lala also doesn’t “want the protests to ‘calm down'” or “the conversation to stop.” The VPR star even asked her followers and fans to call her out on her own behavior. She added, “I don’t want people to stop calling me out on things that otherwise, my inherent privilege, wouldn’t see.”
Could she get fired next?
Lala Kent ended her lengthy post with the following, “I really love you all. Here is to adjusting our country- justice, equality, compassion- Change.” She also included the hashtag “Black Lives Matter.” Lala is just one of the long list of Vanderpump Rules stars that fans want fired after the network’s massive firings last week.
Bravo fired Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute last week for their racist remarks about their former co-star Faith Stowers. While the two publicly apologized for their actions, it didn’t satisfy the company. VPR fans also want Lala Kent, Jax Taylor, and Brittany Cartwright to get the boot.
They claim that Lala’s “bossy” and a “bully.” Viewers don’t like the way that she treats her castmates on the show. This comes after Scheana Shay revealed that Lala acts like she’s better than her co-stars.
Meanwhile, fans called Jax “homophobic.” They also slammed Brittany after she called Faith a “nappy-headed h*” during one of their fights. Brittany denied Faith’s claims. The network hasn’t fired anyone else since last week’s firings. But fans have a feeling that more will follow. Lala is the only cast member to speak out since the scandal.
