Official message from RADIO.COM: We recently learned of racially charged and inappropriate actions by Stassi Schroeder during one of her previous projects. In light of this, Radio.com has made the decision to part ways with her. We take these matters very seriously and condemn these actions. 'Straight Up with Stassi' has been removed from our portfolio.
Radio.com removed Straight Up With Stassi from its online portfolio. Additionally, Stassi’s podcast is also no longer on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher. Episodes are only available on Stassi’s official website, however. So, it’s likely that the show could go on without these platforms. But, the television personality would have to fund the podcast herself. Which might be impossible since she lost everything she had.
Straight Up With Stassi podcast resurfaces on social media
Stassi Schroeder previously apologized for “racially insensitive comments from my past,” but it hasn’t helped. Fans slammed the former VPR star for her treatment of Faith Stowers back in 2018. In addition, her podcast episode from 2018 resurfaced. Stassi discussed the #OscarsSoWhite controversy in March 2017 on an episode of Straight Up With Stassi. She revealed that she was tired of hearing about Black Lives Matter, per TooFab.
“I’m like, really sick of everyone making everything about race,” Stassi said. “I’m kind of over it.”

Hi guys, I hope everyone is staying safe & staying in. It’s important for all of us to band together during this time of uncertainty, and with all the shops, bars and restaurants closed, I know it’s a tough time for many. I was nominated by @jamielynnspears to take part in the #doyourpartchallenge challenge and I am happy to participate — if you guys send me your needs (along with your addresses) to my email email@example.com, I’ll choose a handful of stories at random and send you what you need whether it be pantry items, craft supplies / school supplies for your kids or toiletry essentials. I also nominate @brittany @ariana252525 @amandabatula & @caconover to join me ❤️
Stassi felt since she has a podcast, she was allowed to give her opinion.
“But like, everyone giving their impassioned speeches about race and all that stuff, I’m like, ‘Why is it always just about African Americans?'” Stassi continued. “Like why aren’t the Asians like: ‘We’re not represented. Why aren’t – like I dunno, like – Native Americans and Latinos not like ‘We’re not represented.’ Why is always just ‘that’?”
Stassi makes more insensitive comments about race
The “that” she was referring to was the African American community. The former VPR star then claimed they were the only ones “b****ing about things.” Stassi went on to argue that the Oscars isn’t about race. But, about acting talent. She didn’t like that Moonlight beat out Lala Land for Best Picture, which she didn’t feel was deserving. She felt that “politics” should kept out of the Academy Awards.
Stassi removed the March 2, 2017 podcast episode from her own website. But, it was still available on other platforms before they removed it. In addition, Stassi lost various partnerships, including shaving brand Billie and Ritual vitamins.
