Below Deck loses another chief stew. Below Deck Mediterranean star Hannah Ferrier revealed that Season 5 will be her last. This comes after Below Deck star Kate Chastain left her chief stew role following Season 7.

This could signal the end of the Below Deck era. Below Deck Mediterranean returns on Monday night for the Season 5. Chief stew Hannah Ferrier revealed that it’s her last season as a stew.

Hannah Ferrier announces that Season 5 is her last

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hannah Ferrier revealed that the fifth season is her last season on the show and as a stew. The 30-year-old said she’s over the show. She no longer wants to be part of the Below Deck Mediterranean franchise. Since she’s getting older, she doesn’t want to see herself trying to keep up with the younger crew members. Instead, Hannah said that she wants to leave this experience with new opportunities on the horizon.

“I learned when I first started yachting in my early 20s, you know, I would see these women who were in their late 30s, 40s, sitting at a bar, getting wasted with 20-year-olds living in a tiny cabin, and I was like, ‘I don’t want that. I want this to be a good, fun, enriching experience that allows me to travel a lot, but I don’t want to get to the stage where I’m locked into yachting and there’s nothing else in my life except that.'”

Hannah has been part of Below Deck Mediterranean since it made its premiere in 2016. Her decision follows Kate Chastain’s exit from the original Bravo series, Below Deck in February. The 37-year-old has been part of the franchise’s flagship series for six years. Both women called yachting a “young people’s game,” noting that they outgrew the industry that turned them into Bravo celebrities.

Hannah was already done with yachting. She just needed to take on one more season to confirm her decision. She’s curious to see how her attitude will come across on screen as the new season premieres.

Below Deck Mediterranean star Captain Sandy Yawn reacts

Hannah Ferrier’s decision comes after a tense fourth season for her and Captain Sandy Yawn. At the end of Season 4, Sandy pulled Hannah aside and told her that yachting is not her passion. But now she doesn’t believe that Hannah is completely done with yachting.

“She’s said that every season,” Sandy told Entertainment Tonight in a separate video chat. “Do you know how many crews say that? Everyone at the end of the season.”

Hannah admits that Sandy’s statement that yachting was not her passion affected her. And it’s something that she had to question in her life.

“She said that I wasn’t passionate about yachting, which is a difficult one to tackle because I’m not passionate about boats and machines and anchor watches and how things work on boats,” Hannah explained. “I am very passionate about making sure that the guests have a good time and that they’re never wanting for anything, and I believe I do that.”

The reality star also hinted that working with the worst stew ever led to her exit. This is also the first season that Hannah has worked a charter season with a boyfriend back at home. Hannah has kept quiet on the mysterious man, but is happy to say their relationship survived the charter season. She is currently staying with him in Sydney, Australia amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Hannah is ready to move on from Below Deck Mediterranean. She would like to settle down with her boyfriend and “have a rugrat or two.”

Below Deck Mediterranean premieres Monday, June 1 at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
