How & Where To Watch The ‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’ Special

Crisis Infinite Earths YouTube

Another part of the CW Crisis On Infinite Earths five hour special recently dropped in Netflix. And, if you were binging through Season 6 of The Flash like we were at TV Shows Ace, you might’ve been a little confused when you stumbled on Episode 9. Why? Well, because it was Part 3 of a five part special. In order for the episode to make sense, you would have to find Part 1 and Part 2 and watch them first.

Unfortunately, the first thing we discovered as all five parts of the special are not available on Netflix. To make things worse, all five parts of the special will likely never be available on Netflix. Why? Well, it has to do with a change in the contract the CW had with Netflix. The change in the contract didn’t give Netflix streaming rights to the new Batwoman series. This, naturally, creates a problem with Netflix subscribers looking to watch all five parts of the special.

Fortunately, it is possible for you to watch all five parts of the CW Crisis On Infinite Earths special. Now, you may have to dig a few dollars out of your piggy bank to do it… But, we’ve already done it. And, we can assure you it is well worth the few dollars you’ll have to spend.

How To Watch Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 1: Supergirl

Crisis on Infinite Earths kicks off with the series Supergirl. You can find Part 1 of the special on Episode 9. You can purchase the episode for $2-$3 on Amazon video depending on whether you what HD or SD. Or, you can watch the episode for free via Netflix.

While the CW streaming app is also free… It gets a little dicey on which episodes are and are not currently available. Moreover, the streaming app isn’t readily available across all platforms. Those tuning in via PlayStation 3 or 4, for example, would not be able to access the CW streaming app.

How To Watch Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 2: Batwoman

Now, finding Part 2 is where things get trick. As we mentioned previously, Batwoman will likely never be part of the Netflix streaming library. Presently, it appears as if the entire Season is available via the CW streaming app.

But, this could change. Fortunately, you do have the option of purchasing the episode for $2-$3 via Amazon Video. Just look for Season 1, Episode 9.

How To Watch Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3: The Flash

If you are anything like us, Season 6 of The Flash is currently what landed you here. So, you know you can watch this episode via Netflix. If you don’t have Netflix, you could also purchase Season 6, Episode 9 via Amazon Video.

How To Watch Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 4: Arrow

Season 8 of Arrow has been available on Netflix for a while. So, you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding Part 4. You can also check the CW streaming app. Or, you can purchase it via Amazon Video.

How To Watch Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 5: Legends of Tomorrow

Again, things are going to get a little trick when you tune in to watch the 5th and final part of Crisis on Infinite Earths. If you are patient, Season 5 of Legends of Tomorrow does drop on Netflix in a little over a week. If you aren’t patient (don’t feel bad we weren’t either), you can purchase Part 5 via Amazon Video.

Is purchasing the special from Amazon Video worthwhile?

Now, if you are going to purchase some of Crisis on Infinite Earths from Amazon Video… It may be worthwhile to just drop $15 and purchase all five parts. This way you have the entire special in one convenient space. As an added bonus, you won’t lose pieces of it if Netflix loses the content from their library at a later time.

After all, streaming contracts change and Netflix loses content all of the time. If you purchase the content from Amazon… It is yours to keep.

Is this CW/DC special worth purchasing?

Unfortunately, answering this question is really a matter of personal opinion. If you are someone who watches some (or all) of the shows within the special, it is in your best interest to watch it.

The network does a pretty good job of making sure the special doesn’t take away from the individual series if you are someone who only watches some of the shows. But, it is a pretty action-packed story line that certainly keeps you at the edge of your seat.

So have you watched Crisis on Infinite Earths yet? Do you plan on doing so? Tell us about it in the comments!
