Jinger Duggar Vuolo shares on Instagram that she and husband, Jeremy Vuolo, are expecting their second child. Jinger captions the photo, “We are so excited to announce that we’re expecting a little girl this November! Jeremy and I both guessed it was a girl, just a gut feeling we had. And we couldn’t be happier.” The heartwarming announcement comes after the couple suffered a miscarriage in the fall.
Instagram Causes Pregnancy Speculation Long Before the Announcement
Jinger goes on to caption the announcement with, “The bond that sisters share is unique, and one I cherish every day. After all these years, they’re still my best friends. I’m glad God’s giving that gift for Felicity to enjoy.” Seemingly, this circles back to another Instagram post showing Jessa, Joy-anna, Jill, and Janna. Jinger’s caption reads, “Though we live hundreds of miles apart, these girls will always be close to my heart. Thankful to God for sisters and sweet times together.”
InTouch Weekly reports of several hints dropped throughout Jinger’s pregnancy. Firstly, in March, Jinger captions an Instagram post with the hashtag #healthyfitpregnancy. The post was in response to a music challenge issued by her mother-in-law and sister-in-law, Diana and Valerie Vuolo. Not so shockingly, fans were quick to comment. One fan writes, “I think Jinger is pregnant again.” While another fan writes, “Are you expecting then? Congratulations!” Additional fan speculation is that Jinger was doing research for Joy-Anna who is also pregnant. Ultimately, the hashtag was deleted.
Keeping in line with the Instagram hints, in March, the expectant couple posted a selfie. The caption says, “how grateful [they] are for the gifts God has given [them].” As Duggar fans may know, the phrase “gift from God” is oftentimes used by the family to announce a pregnancy. InTouch Weekly notes that John David and Abbie Duggar used the same words in January when they welcomed their daughter, Grace. Additionally, Joseph and Kendra Duggar said the same thing after the birth of their son, Garrett.

We’ve been enjoying some much-needed spring cleaning, finding new recipes online to whip up, and running around the house and backyard chasing Felicity. In these difficult days, be sure to text a friend, video chat with family, and let them know you’re grateful for and love them. Stay safe, stay strong 🙏
Felicity Will Experience the Bond Between Sisters
Oftentimes, mothers cherish the moments they have with their firstborn or older children when they are pregnant. Of more speculation that Jinger dropped hints of her current pregnancy is another Instagram caption. “Before Felicity was born, an older woman at church told me, ‘The days are long, but the years are short.’ How true it is. I don’t want to be so focused on the future that I miss out on the beauty of today. Mothers, let’s cherish these days,” writes Jinger. Of similar sentiment, Jeremy can’t stop sharing about fatherhood. “A lot of people told me it would be good, but no one told me it would be this good,” he writes on Instagram. In another post, he writes, “I had no idea how amazing being a dad would be.”
Another clue in hindsight occurs when Jinger’s sister, Jessa Seewald, began listing off old-fashioned names for little girls. Jessa’s pick, the name Alice. While there is no confirmation to the littlest Vuolo’s name, Jinger tells People that big-sister-t0-be, Felicity (or Lissy) is excited to meet her little sister. Jinger says, “She comes up to my belly and says, ‘Baby. Baby.'” Lissy is also practicing for her new role. Jeremy says she’s, “been practicing her big-sistering on dolls, cradling and shushing them to sleep.”
Lastly, on Mother’s Day, Jinger shares a long post highlighting that it’s a “strange time for mothers”. Summing up her post she writes, “Through all of it, there’s joy in the journey.” Jeremy also takes to Instagram to dote on his bride and uses the phrase “her motherhood journey”. In light of the pregnancy announcement, raising a toddler and being pregnant is a lot to handle during a pandemic.
